All the series are tied at 2-1 with higher seeds with the upper hand. So no blowout so far, does that mean the teams this year are pretty even? That makes a more exciting playoffs anyway.

Cloutier is not playing tonight edit: sorry Cloutier is injured. But I have to admit this increase Flames' chance in the first round.

A SO by Kiprusoff He's the 4th goalie in Flames' history having a SO in playoff. The other goalies are Reggie Lamilin (?sp), Trevor Kidd and Mike Vernon (3 times). Series tied at 2-2!

Nieuwendyk out of Leafs' lineup for Game 4 OTTAWA (AP) - Center Joe Nieuwendyk was injured and did not dress Wednesday night for Game 4 of the Toronto Maple Leafs' first-round playoff series against the Ottawa Senators. Nieuwendyk was at the Corel Centre earlier in the day but did not take part in Toronto's optional skate. The Maple Leafs would not disclose the nature of the injury, saying only that Nieuwendyk was not 100 percent. He scored his second goal of the series in Monday night's 2-0 victory over Ottawa that gave Toronto a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven matchup.

Ouch for Vera. Canucks' Cloutier out with sprained ankle VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Goaltender Dan Cloutier has a sprained right ankle and will miss the rest of the Vancouver Canucks' first-round playoff series with the Calgary Flames. "He'll be re-evaluated as we move forward," coach Marc Crawford said. "It's difficult news for Dan Cloutier. He has had such a very good series and worked extremely hard." Cloutier was hurt late in the first period of Vancouver's 2-1 victory Sunday night. He was replaced by Johan Hedberg, who played in a 4-0 loss Tuesday night to Calgary that tied the best-of-seven series at 2-2. Game 5 will be Thursday night in Vancouver.
