No no no, I'm still watching, sort of...while also busy posting. And why is Team Canada wearing a very ugly looking yellow jersey . I forget to tape the match so no hockey for me I watched the highlight on WCH web site and that's the ugliest yellow I ever see.

I forget to tape the match so no hockey for me I watched the highlight on WCH web site and that's the ugliest yellow I ever see. I'm losing my mind these days... the tape ended before the game finished (yesterday, my taping started 3 hours early because my timer was set at ET , so I have to check the final score online anyway. And they only said Jovo is out of the lineup, didn't say what's hurt, probably upper body injury, or lower .

Hey! That's our colour! We are the chickens! Ya, the Swede should claim that color back. I had the first period of that canada game taped before that Swe game and the last 2 periods after that Swe game. I was confused by the color I can tell you that.

Swe lead Cze 4-0 after two periods. Now it's 4-3 with 4 min left. Actually this is good

Match ended 4-3. Modin, Forsberg, Öhlund and Zetterberg scored for Swe. Then Rucinsky, Zidlicky and Elias for Cze. Canadian refs made it exciting by awarding the Czechs a weird power-play the last two minutes and a bit later ignoring an obvious tripping on a Swede. The usual usual when NHL is involved. More conspiracy theories to come later on... Count on it

ESPN2 played the Canada/USA later that night and I was able to tape it. What a first period for team Canada and learn why they wore that ugly yellow jersey with no players name at the back. That's the jersey of the team (Winnipeg ?? ??) that won the first World Cup (or whatever) in 1920. And ESPN kept showing the winning goal for USA in 1996. They also add the hateful JR to the commentating team

More conspiracy theories to come later on... Count on it I'm waiting. ;D Maybe the canadian refs just want to make the Czech worked harder so they get into game form, they were horrible in the first game, didn't see the second though.

Didn't tape today's 2 games, why bother. I'm just gonna start watching when it counts. So that ugly jerseys was from the 20s, why, didn't we win Olympics in 2002, wear that jersey, it's as good. And the Swede should sue us for infringement their trademark. OMG, I'm glad I'm not watching ESPN (or I'm not watching, period), so that broken jaw is not stopping JR from opening his big month. Anyways, my sister emailed me today to tell me that she's jumping ship to support Team Sweden because her favorite Canuck Jovo is already out of the tournament. To be honest with you, if Sweden playing Canada in Final, I probably won't be too upset to see Team Canada loses, how unpatriotic. But hey, our captain needs to win sth to make his career memorable, he's not going to win with the Nucks.

The Canada Cup and now the World Cup have always been scheduled in favour of Canada and USA. The other teams always have to travel a lot more. And Canada and USA always have home court advantage in the later stages. And the refs are either Canadian or American.

This is a sport where money counts ;D If you check the schedule, the playoff location between 1-4 and 2-3 are not finalized. I wonder what happen if Canada vs USA and Russia vs Slovakia. Where Canada vs USA will play? And it may very likely happen ;D

But there's no way we are favoring the Americans, they were just lucky to have us as neighbor . It's Alfredsson and Sundin's only shot as well. Unless you count the "World Championships" of course Hey, I haven't given up on the Sens, and daniel had promised last year that they will win the Cup one day, just don't know which year. Sens has the best chances out of all Canada teams to win the way I see it. As for Sundin, okay, not a big fan of the Leafs so I don't care much about their players (except Elmo). But all right, if there's the only chance any of these Swede can win a major, I hope they do just that then.

This is a sport where money counts ;D Not so much though, otherwise, every game will be in the States as you know how much the Canadian money counts. But it was called the Canada Cup maybe we were the one who initiate this tournament at the beginning? At least we didn't just let the Canandian teams play but called it a world series . Someday, they will make it more and more nation friendly? I would like to think. Because as we know, Canada isn't the dominant hockey nation out there.

Where Canada vs USA will play? And it may very likely happen ;D Well I don't think they will go back to Russia for just one game, do you? To be fair, the Olympic hockey tourny still haven't been completely fair. It has in Nagano and Salt Lake City been scheduled to benefit the "big six" hockey countries. Didn't help Sweden much last time though

He promised? He didn't promise to win the World Cup. It would've been fun if he had. Ooooops, sorry to confuse you. I only mean the Lord Stanley Cup. He was asked in playoff last year if the Sens' going to make it, and Daniel promised they will win the Stanley Cup, that's what I was referring to, that Daniel will have a big achievement in his career one day. I'm sure it's different perspective for you and for me, but here, Stanley Cup is the most important, more than Olympics or World Cup. So...anyways. Am watching the Swede-Finn game now. Damn, c'mon guys, only 2 mins to go and they are still trailing by one. So the round that doesn't count actually counts a lot, the winner got to play punching bag the German, and the loser have to deal with the Czech, what a prize. C'mon you superstars in the Swede team, do sth.

The Swede has to win this one to be the number 1 seed. 4 on 4, they should have the advantage with all those skilful forwards, besides they said this area is a little bigger, so even more room for open ice. C'mon.... so how do you say c'mon in Swede??

Tie game. And Swede will have to play the Czech. Well, the good thing is, it will be a very exciting game between the Swede and the Czech (much more so than the Finn-German). So if Aphex is planning to get a ticket to go in, you'll like to have a heck of a time.

Now that my 3 top favorites are out of USO, I've decided to put hockey first from now on. ;D
Just watching Canada scored twice on 2 breakaway. Back to the "normal" red and white jersey. And I figure that Russian's jersey looks very much like the Americans. They need some creativity/variety in the jersey design catagory.
I'm just very confusing with the format. I thought after round robin, they would usual cross the groups so the number 1 in Group A will play number 4 in Group B or sth. Obviously, I was wrong, just when I didn't know that round robin doesn't eliminate teams until a couple of days ago. Now I understand why Aphex was complaining the other day :red: . Now I just have to find out who's last in our group.

Those sons-of-diddleys the Fins. Now we have to meet the unpredictable Czechs again. Luckily it's at home. Actually the World Cup is much more fair than the old Canada Cup. If you're Swedish, Finnish or German that is It's weird the Russian's drew the short straw and had to play in North America. There's lotsa, and I mean LOTSA money in Russia, compared to Sweden and Finland at least. Maybe they're bored with their hockey divas so they didn't wanna pay NHL in Russia.
