Court Philippe Chartrier proceedings commence with Woz v Woz; Federer is the side dish over on Suzanne Lenglen.

I have coverage of Federer playing a French player with a Portuguese surname
Teizeira grunts a lot, and hits heavy topspin, classic clay courter, me likes, better backhand than forehand.

Shockingly, it transpires that Gorgeous really was just this year's MJMS/Caravane. Remember until a few weeks ago Safarova would have been the favourite in that match-up.

Llagostera hitting drive volley winners from the baseline against cornet. The Frenchie is moaning and complaining all the time, hope she gets another bagel in the second.

Monfils is playing so carelessly - very sloppy.
Lady JaJa cruising and Bartoli up 2-0 in her match.

Why why why do we have to live through a NLV revival Revenge for Sweta over Begu! A bit surprised by that. Paves the way for her to UE her way out to Wozniacki in the 4th round. I feel like I say this at every Slam these days, but I really should accept that the dynamic and creative game that Nishikori had pre-elbow injury isn't going to come back Tipsy has lost 11 games across his two matches so far, including two bagel sets...a chance against Fed? I think so! Or, you know, a chance to go two sets up and then choke, as per usual.

Who the heck is V.Dolonts? Did she use to be somebody else? Marino beating Ma. jose is pretty major. Allez Gassy! Nishikori.

Figures it would be Dulko to land in Pironkova's section. Remember when Pironkova was a set away from the Wimbledon final?

Poor Kavcic was playing quite well by his standards, yet was not even close to winning a set against JMDP. Llagostera was so fun to watch - standing 2 meters inside the baseline on Cornet's 2nd serve and during the rallies she was also standing well inside the court, overpowering Cornet easily. Why would people dislike her? Should pick on that brat Cornet, instead.

Poor Canadian Woz. One hopes the injury problems are behind her now, though.
Something tells me Danish Woz might have hands full with Hantuchova. I hope I'm wrong.
Marino getting through is awesome. She will play Kuznetsova in round 3. Given how erratic Sveta has been, an upset is possible.
Stosur looks really good so far. Dulko shouldn't be a problem and then Bartoli-Goerges ... hmm ... Sam should get through.

Mr Gasquet sees off the dangerous Crunchy Granollers in 4. The win marks Gasquet's SECOND trip to the third round of the RG. He has never gone further and most years has done worse. With these two wins, his lifetime tournament mark is now 6-7. That's quite poor. Bellucci next will be tough, too.
