and the two handed forehand does not help her, less reach. With Bartoli, she's just "dumb" for lack of a better word - it helps when she's up in a big match since she won't overthink it and choke. But I don't recall ever seeing her adjust tactics or do something different in a match. How good is she at picking up her opponents' weaknesses and adjusting accordingly? That's an odd criticism, because I see it all the time. The famous Henin match, for example. The Wozniacki IW final, even though she lost it. And it shows it the way she constantly reinvents her wacky serve, too. She kind of has to be, given how wacky her strokes and technique are.

That's sexist! But no, seriously, yes. I will never understand fat tennis players. Did you know that Mardy Fish lost 30 lbs.? Holy shit! I had no idea that Mardy Fish used to be fat. Did you know that Fatbandian is fat?

I wasn't being facetious, I was honestly wondering if that had happened since I couldn't recall seeing it in the matches I'd watched her play. The service motion (and the routines pre-serve) keep changing which I suppose does add to mixing things up. I haven't seen the IW final, but in the Henin match she really picked it up in that her level of aggression increased and Henin began getting cranky and edgy. What I remember most is how she never got nervous - she was hitting perfect drop shots in the middle of the third set.

Can't watch it but the stats suggest a shitfest. Both already have over 30 UEs.

I was expecting Kuzzy to storm through the draw and win RG but ugh.

She still might, Ali. I refuse to watch whatever is happening right now though. I'm going to watch The Good Wife instead, because it features a pretend lawyer that I'd like to sex.

Oh, I have to begin Season 2 of The Good Wife. Thanks for the reminder! Can we discuss it on the interwebzz when we're done? I promise there won't be a repeat of our Damages agreement.
In other news, Yahoo informs me that Kuz has taken it to a third set. But honestly, this Ferrer-Monfils match has gotten interesting. Ferrer was serving at 4-2 and Monfils came back to win the set 7-5 and all hell broke loose with the crowd - in a good way.

Sweata wins in three sets. Antoxfa fails to back up the win over Wozniacki. Rus and Dulko lost after their upset victories as well.

Gise had 19 winners and 7 unforced errors Bartoli 20 and 9 if I read correctly RG stats are always way too positive. They score weirdly.

It's sad that we cheer for CAKE and SCHIAVO. It's like still 2005, except the good players quit.
