Two consecutive years a 29-year-old wins. And the first from each of their countries!
It's a shame Wozniacki is the first name we see on the ranking list, because if you ignore her...women's tennis is pretty damn cool.

Two consecutive years a 29-year-old wins. And the first from each of their countries! It's a shame Wozniacki is the first name we see on the ranking list, because if you ignore her...women's tennis is pretty damn cool. It did get much cooler in the SF round here, that's for sure. And I like Wozzy, so I hope she'll get better, too, and start winning some of the big ones.

I like it when Wozniacki exposes the WTA for being shit.
But this tournament, it was definitely not shit. Ergo, Woz not needed.

Well we have the infamous NBC, and they needed to stick a bunch of commercials in so we got it on tape, apparently. I should have known they wouldn't be able to resist showing SOMETHING on tape instead of live!

If she can win RG, surely she has a shot at Wim and the USO. I have no idea whether she'll have the usual let-down at Wimbledon, though (usual for her and usual for first-time RG champs).

If Iva Majoli and Monica Seles can manage Wimbledon QFs in the year of their first-Slam-ever-at-RG, I'm sure Li Na can too. She gave Serena a good match last year in the quarters minus the losing games from being up 40-0 part.
