Twilight down 3-6 to Mello Yello. Too bad for Devvarman, those awful service points at 3-2 in the t-b. The very last SP on Murray's serve! Played a beautiful rally then netted the finishing shot. I HATE seeing players do that. On that point Somdev might have been distracted by Murray slipping and stumbling. I would have given him a point penalty for hindrance.

CAKE just got a point penalty on McHale's serve at DOOSE for "hindrance" for shouting "COME ON" after hitting a shot, which McHale chased down and put back in play. McHale converted for 2-0 and now CAKE is dying. I wish this would happen to Ana some time.

I remember Serena doing this against Sveta at the YEC one year and both of them and the umpire just laughed and played a let.

McHale has a pretty good game once the rally gets going. Quite adept at changing the direction of the ball. Oof, Evert just said exactly this. I'm re-thinking my whole perspective.

My commentators of course started bringing up Maria and Vika grunting when it happened.

McHale impressed me a lot. Love the way she's always balanced and in position, very Hingis-like in that regard. Smart player, too.

Kirilenko got here by beating an even worse version of herself, La Douche. I have faith in McHale...I hope it's not misplaced. I'm really liking Petrova to tag Stosur in the third round, and run to the quarters, or further

Woohoo McHale. First time I've seen her and she's pretty decent -- I can see why she's been beating some good players. I know! It's so surprising after seeing her as Kevin McHale in the HW draws for so long, never standing out until this year. Her rise was a much more solid one than Oudin's, though, not just challengers then suddenly huge wins @ USO. Also, she's 19, not 17, which I think shows in her maturity on court.
