Wow, Juanqui is a break up in the 5th? I thought losing the 3rd set TB would be the end of him. Vamos! Mofees is tanking most points. I approve!

Dokic did have some belly fat going. It wasn't just the serve, so many points she blew for no reason. She really really blew that 2nd set, and probably the match as JJ just wanted to get out of there.

Monfils just saved two BPs that would have put him down a double break in the 5th, one with a second serve ace and the other by serve-and-volleying on a second serve. So crazy.

Ha! That's very helpful. She plays quietly, no COME ONs, no screeching, I love that. otoh, her game looked solid but boring. She was unflappable, so maybe she has the right temperament to do well, but do we need more players who stay parked behind the baseline engaging in crosscourt rallies? For now I'm more interested in Kevin McHale.

I woke up to...lots of bagels More on the men's side! 19 for them (three of those courtesy of Nole), only 11 for the women, who are a day ahead. You know...I hope Juanqui is not adversely affected by his two five-setters so far, because if this paves the way for Granola to reach the second week... Can just imagine how brainless Gajdosova must have been to only win two games off King
