My Twitter is intolerable with the Donnster praise. Ugh. Yes, he has grown up somewhat, but he still has no chance of being a top player.

I have switched Twitter off for now. Too much. No hilarity in the Murray match He looks in control. Bepa/Boom Boom Bine now. I'd think Lisicki would be a shoe-in to beat an underwhelming Bepa, but I've thought that twice this summer and it's still gone Bepa's way.

Bepa played better today in the bits I saw. Either way, I like the matchup vs. Sabine. Make her rally, Bepa's probably good.

It's probably been noted already, but: FSG, Care Bear, Pung, Flavietta... one makes the SF. And would have a decent chance of winning.

Wawrinka-Young is an abomination, isn't it? Remember when Melzer was a "top player"? For someone who beat Fed, Nadal and Djokovic inside of 12 months, he sure does suck a lot. It's really, very easy to forget that Melzer did those things.

Post by janie on Sept 2, 2011 19:12:29 GMT -5
I guess McHale and Kirilenko play the same game, don't they? I wonder who does it better today? No, they don't play the same. Kirilenko is playing at the net a lot tonight. And intelligently, coming in at the right time, unlike so many of the women who decide to add this element to their game. McHale has not been able to come up with the passing shots nor can she match Kirikenko by charging the net herself. At least in set 1, Kirilenko looks really sharp tonight.

Kirilenko 14 of 16 at the net tonight. And McHale playing very far back. I just wish MK could play like this all the time. She'd be a favorite of mine.

I still like the way McHale is always in position without ever looking like she's running like a wild woman to get there, and always looks so balanced when she hits the shot. As I said before she reminds me a lot of Hingis in these 2 ways.
62 1-all now, so maybe CM will come up with something this set, or MK could collapse or something.
