Weather update: A long, slow moving trough hits the east coast sometime Monday, and then Tropical Storm Lee is projected to meander for much of the week. Thus, expect scheduling shenanigans like Fish playing every match early.

We would love a L'il Masha-Bepa QF here, wouldn't we?
Also wasn't it Benneteau who upset Guga (#1 seed) in the first round of the Aussie Open in 2002 or something? Hoping he can work his magic against A-Rod.
How could I forget? FSG ofcourse!

Discount Ma¢ha is preferable only over Stosur. I really, really do not need to see Bepa flail helpless against Samanananatha for the 93944th match in a row. If she's going to do that she may as well lose to Boom Boom Bine. I guess Fat Dave will challenge Rafa for, like, a set? Maybe two? But the idea of him pulling the upset off seems so remote. Delpo against Twilight again, that should be fun. Not that I can watch today, I don't think. Moving house Goooo FSG.

Kerber wins. She's actually not that bad. It still cannot be ignored that she lost to Robson at Wimbledon. I saw a Peng-Pennetta USO match, again when Flav was coming off a slump, and Peng couldn't hold her shots in when it counte, even though today's NYT says Peng's game is predicated on making errors. When will the media stop (a) not watching players they write about and (b) stop using RAYCISM and painting all Asian players as harmless pushers? Have they learned nothing from Lee Na? Anyway, this would be a boneheaded loss for Peng. Boo. Longest phone via BB EVAR.

I would say that depth of Rafa's backhand shots wasn't at all bad today! And he went for the winners when Fat Dave allowed him to. He had that lapse of concentration in the end, but I can understand it cause the match lost it's intensity by then. So an improvement, overall.
