Rafa's universally used clay game on a grass court eventually dismissed by a challenger player. Loving it. I hope he loses to RRH in the first round of the US Open.
I only know Rosol because he's married to a far more successful track runner. Now he'll steal her spotlight for a day or 2.

I've confused Rosol and Lacko for years now. Only just managed to separate Kubot from them as the bashy S&V type who'd be a threat on grass. LOL.

The section where one of Cirstea, Kirilenko, Peng and Rus will be a QFist has DOOM written all over it.
Stephens d. Lisucki and Giorgi d. Nadezhda today?

Also, what cunty thing did Rafa do? He whined to the referee that Rosol was doing something (still not really known) that was distracting him. Then during a changeover, he cut him off in walking back to his chair, brushing past Rosol. Looked like he made contact though it wasn't a full Spirlea. THEN Rafa "wasn't ready" for a serve (which would have been an ace) in the fifth set. Amazingly, it was replayed, even though you have to play at the server's pace. Rosol plays fast. He doesn't take 100,000 years to play like Rafa. Rafa ... more or less threw a hissyfit. Then he compounded it by doing something which was downright rude. Then he acted like an arrogant spoiled brat by failing to set up for that serve on time. That was on purpose. However, Rosol did not take the bait at any point and I think he drew strength from the dumb shit that Rafa did. It certainly told me that Nadal was really worried and thought he would lose. I think Rosol drew the same lesson. This match reminded me a bit of last year's Federer-Tsonga. Once Rafa was broken in the first game of the fifth, it was all over. Rosol was just hitting the ball too big. There was no rallying from that. It does go to show what you need to do to put out a Big Three member when you aren't a Big Three member, doesn't it? A hell of a lot. It's clear why these upsets rarely occur. For Rafa, this snaps a pretty lengthy QF GS streak of his own. Not since Soderling beat him at the French had anyone put him out before the QF stage. 12 straight Slams. Also, Rafa's five straight final appearances streak at Wimbledon is over. Yes, I know he skipped 2009. But he did make five in five consecutive tries. Here are some people who failed to do that: Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Stephan Edberg ... almost everyone else.

WTF happened to Rafa?! Have to catch the replay. Not surprised that he was being cunty. Muzza final would result in multiple orgasms for all of England. Which means it doesn't happen.
Craziness.

Thanks Grarliner. It goes for all of the Big Three, they don't lose their cool often but when they do they really show themselves up.
What's still making my jaw drop is the total lack of indication that ROSOL could do this. His best result this year was a QF in bloody Belgrade. He's never even pushed top players before. I actually dimly remembered Lacko bagelling Rafa in Doha last year, looked it up, and thought, oh that was Lacko not Rosol, this match will be routine. This is completely out of leftfield, more than maybe any other upset in recent memory.

From all the reports afterwards Rafa complained that Rosol was either breathing too loud or doing a Bartoli right before Rafa would serve or something. And Rosol did add to the whole 'let's complain about ridiculous things' himself. Apparently he complained that Rafa found a dead ball and served with it on purpose. Again this all coming from reports on twitter, so those could be not true. I think I'd be more upset about Rafa's loss if this was a real tournament shown on TV.

I thought this match had been suspended for darkness so I didn't know how it ended till now. Poor whiny Wafa when things don't go his way. Remember when he used to be, or at least seem like, such a happy kid? I think I'll only be rooting for him at RG from now on. He's too old to act like Serena a petulant 10-year-old when things aren't going his way.

Yeah, I read he was annoyed by Rosol (first time in my life I've ever typed this name!) jumping around like Marion while waiting for the Wafa serve. Reminds me of Old Hag complaining about teen Capriati hopping around *with shoes squeaking* while waiting for an Old Hag serve.

They're replaying this on the BBC. First time I've been grateful for the rain.

What's with all Karlovic vs Murray controversy? Did anyone watch the match? Ivo was almost crying afterwards in the presser apparently.

Does he have a daily dose of whining and moaning that he has to fulfill? It's unfair that SEWTA got such a bed rep when in reality the top male players are such bitches.

Must say it's rather satisfying seeing Rafa have to hurry himself to play at Rosol's pace.

Are they going to close the roof? Or they do it only when it's not raining?

Must say it's rather satisfying seeing Rafa have to hurry himself to play at Rosol's pace. Amen. I find myself really turning against Rafa this past year. I don't like the OCD, I don't like the bitching, I *really* don't like his false modesty routine. Way, way too much complaining this past year. Lots of forgetting how lucky he is to be young and fucking rich as hell.

This was one of the best days of tennis I ever had. I got so lucky to be present on Centre for parts of the 3rd and 4th and the whole 5th set. A breathtaking display from Rosol who I've seen play before but only remembered his height and the tattoo. I was kinda in shock afterwards because something like this is so rarely seen. Wow.

So you got on queuing up for the charity tickets? I've seen a couple of "classics" over the years with that.
The best was probably Serena Hanturexia in '07 when Serena collapsed on court, couldn't move and Danka STILL managed to fuck up the second set TB. I was sat next to the players' box and Venus was smiling at me laughing @ Richard's dramatics.
Then a couple of years ago I saw Simon Murray for a set (think it was the third) - amazing rallies, great atmosphere.
Henman Federer in Tim's last Wimbledon (I think). ;D
My friend was also lucky enough (or unlucky as massive Davenport fans) to get tickets to the 2005 final. One of the best experiences of my life so far. When everyone goes crazy for every point in such an intimate environment is spine tingling.

So you got on queuing up for the charity tickets? No. The flatmate of the guy I was staying at works at Wimby and got us a free ticket which we shared. The others left earlier so I could watch the remainder of the match. I got one on Day 3 (they are 10 pounds now ) to watch some Nole. It was fun but I wouldn't have done that if I had know about next day.

I have managed to miss it completely this year, unless I score show court tickets for next week somehow (which I can actually afford this year). Well, qualies counts, I had a great time.
I had to review a show Wed night and file by Thu morn which ruled out those days, a friend said she was up for going but could only do Fri rather than Tues, she bailed anyway, didn't feel like going this morning. Should've just gone on Tues but never mind.
