Nothing to be done at about setpoint one. Good first serve and good forehand.
Second serve now.
YEAH! Conversion!

Bad game from Nole.
I want a 5th now with Nole playing better. He's too passive.

Fed really earned that set. Way to step up out of nowhere. Nole in five then?

Hey, guys, you can take sick days on Friday? I thought Friday and Monday was a total nono. Have still not used one since starting this job last August! I'm currently working on a project which doesn't require my sitting at the head office, so I can take sick days as long as my team signs off on it - don't need to go beyond that.

Fed really needs to wrap this in four, right? Novak forcing a fifth ... would be trouble.
Early chance for Novak here at 30-30.

Rare backhand error from Novak on the return gives the game to Roger.
First JMac call of "Djovak". That's obligatory.

Now a REAL chance for Roger. 0-30 on Nole's serve and Nole is missing a LOT.

Fed really needs to wrap this in four, right? Novak forcing a fifth ... would be trouble. I'd agree with this. After watching Novak pull out those five-set wins against Murray & Nadal in Melbourne...he just seems brutal in five-setters. 0-30 - chance for Fed.

Good lord that miss. 0-40

Chance for the early break for Rog ...
Novak just made a horrible error at 0-30. Just appalling. He never misses a shot like that.

Wow. Fed gets the break with another Nole miss.

That forehand was wide by a bit and then some! Nole falling apart.
2-0 Federer.

If Djovak wants to give it away on a silver platter, I have no issue with that!

Novak played one great point to save a bp, but there's another errant forehand. That was a very low-quality game from Novak. It's not offten you see him cough up a break that badly.

But that last Fed-error fh tempered my expectations.

Well, three holds. That's all he needs. Stay focused and hold three times.
Novak seems like he's going to live dangerously now. Swing for the fences and see what happens. I think he's still extremely dangerous. A few quality returns and he gets back into the match.

Chance for fed at 30-30. Insurance break would really be nice.

Weak forehand error from Fed. That's too bad. There was a real chance there to drive the ball and maybe get that point.
Just missed a desperation forehand winner, Fed. Oh, wait. It was in. Make it deuce then.

Three holds.

Roger = Serena?
Old champs getting through difficult matches in the early rounds and gaining confidence, then dominating with their serves.
