I saw bits of her match against Pelletier yesterday. Notwithstanding that Pelletier is an awful player with literally zero game, Crawford's big bashy game was impressive.

Glushko and Vekic results shock me. This has been a fun tournament so far, so unpredictable. Glushko's had some really good results in the US Hidden World summer swing, having been useless everywhere before that.

I saw bits of her match against Pelletier yesterday. Notwithstanding that Pelletier is an awful player with literally zero game, Crawford's big bashy game was impressive. Considering all the meltdowns among the younger set, her composure was impressive, too. So! Unless I'm missing something, we have ONE, yes ONE, female player from the entire Western Hemisphere who made it through qualies. There is something not only sad but actually nauseating about this statistic.

Crawford drew Robson, which is bad luck: someone who plays much the same game as herself but is more experienced at it.
More importantly, Rodionova drew COHEN and surely that match will culminate in actual murder.
