Try to at least keep the ball in play genius. That way Woz might actually have to try and win the point.

Evert living up to her high standard of spewing clichés. Once in a while she also repeats something Patrick said so she sounds like she knows what's up. She's still announcing? Ugh why Thank the heavens I can watch everything on ESPN3. The Aussie announcers aren't annoying.

Finally! Sweater!
I didn't catch the last serve, but in the rest of the game, only one cleared 90mph and barely. So weird.
This is Sveta's first QF in 2 years (RG '11) and the one before that had a 2 year gap too (RG '09).

Ugh why Thank the heavens I can watch everything on ESPN3. The Aussie announcers aren't annoying. Yeah, they're fantastic. But for me, ESPN3 picture quality comes and goes. I don't know why, since we have really fast internet speed. Still, most nights I've stuck with ESPN3 on my laptop and let janiehub have the tv. I'm glad I didn't bother getting Tennis Channel again yet, since I'm asleep for most of these AO matches.

On the whole, that was a decent match.
I think we have sufficient evidence to conclude that Woz cannot compete at the highest level with that forehand. It is horrible. Maybe she can find some way to stabilize it sometime in the future but the last year + does not bode well. She is headed towards Jankovic territory at this rate.

Chardy is rampant. His big game is scary. He is swatting away every Seppi second serve. It's like Serena vs. Julia Cohen. But Chardy is the Kuz of the men's game so he'll throw away this fourth set like he allegedly threw away the first.

I think I have known how huge Chardy's game was for some years now. It's great watching him pull it all together. The win over DelPo was great. Everybody thinks Muzza is going to destroy him but I bet Chardy does some damage.
How did Jovanovski win three matches here without being able to hit a ball between the paint?
Gasquet has levelled this match. I think he's going to win here.

Sweta won a tough match against Woz last week! I know, it's Sweta, she can screw up anything, but I thought she would win this week as well, and she did. I've missed all the close matches this weekend This is the first AO I've been in a relationship for and they're not conducive to each other. Nothing screams romance like saying "I have to get out of bed now to watch Agnieszka Radwanska" at 6am. (I didn't actually do that.) At least Serena gave me a bagel over Kirilenko. Pity it wasn't two. I liked how Jo Durie casually remarked midway through the second set that Kirilenko was playing at her peak level today. Hopefully Serena disrespects Sloane even harder in the QF.

On the whole, that was a decent match. I think we have sufficient evidence to conclude that Woz cannot compete at the highest level with that forehand. It is horrible. It's not just the FH, but the volley, the smash -- so much to cringe about. Still so happy for Kuz, who had to go through qualies in Sydney. Somehow it escaped my attention completely that Iva Majoli played women's doubles here, not just the Legends. She and Rodio reached the 3rd round! Roger Federer, showing the youngsters what's what. And I haven't seen a single point of his.
