Heh, Isner lost to a CAN WC in a third-set TB.
Not sure what happened, but CAN junior Peliwo, whose results I note because he is hot, was losing 3-6, 3-5 to Nieminen, and then came back to lead 3-1 in the third set, then Nieminen retired. Wonder if Peliwo got lucky or Nieminen just stole his moment.
Fognini d. Baghdatis 1-6 6-1 6-1. No comment. Granola d. Grisha 6-4 6-4. No comment except LOL.
All-bromance R2! Paire vs. Wawrinka!

Thatwas a great win for the Popsicle guy! And for Peliwo. Happy for Canada.

Pospisil's on a rampage! Took down the mighty ex of Deadisova. I hope no one's going to tell me that Vasek is a jerk like Polansky.

What happened to Haas?

Shoulder, apparently. Peliwo took Istomin to three sets but lost - still, I think that's more impressive than a win-by-ret. Big shocker is Ferrer losing to Bogomolov Paire won the Bromance Battle over Stan, 6-2 7-6. Gulbis d. Fognini 6-3 1-6 6-1, which is a score befitting that match-up.

Janowicz loses the following leads against Nadal - 6-5, serving for the first set. 5-2, first set tiebreak. 3-0, one break in the second.

Murray a set and a break down to Gulbis, who's playing really well.

Murray broke back, but then Gulbis broke again at 4-3 and served it out. Some excellent tennis from Ernie vs a flat Muzz.
R3 exits for both Wimbledon champions on their return, the comedown is harsh.

What is this new admitted cheating I'm hearing about? (Yes, I barely watch tennis between slams now, but I can't miss moments that will be referenced for years to come!!)

Oh god, Lahyani's terrible screw-up in Raonic vs Delpo: tennis.si.com/2013/08/08/milos-raonics-win-over-juan-martin-del-potro-tainted-by-controversy/"Hypothetically yes, technically no" is a ludicrous thing to say, Milos. You can tell from his immediate reaction he thought he'd lost the point. CHEATER!!!!!!1111 SMH @ Davenport shit-stirring yet again by bringing The Hand up. I think Pospisil is a bug server, so I can't get behind his run. A KING KOLYA/Gulbis SF would be nice, though. Why is Matosevic in another big QF? Go away.

Not owning up to the net touch was a shitty thing to do.
As long as Muzza keeps winning majors, don't care. And he lost to a very good player obvs.

I'd do what Raonic did. The point was clearly over. This match was serious business. Screw your pedantic rules.

Lame "controversy".
I think it's the sort of situation where you have to let the umpire deal with the situation, and if the umpire doesn't ask any question, well that's just too bad. It's not the player's job to judge if the point was over or not when the net was touched. Why didn't the umpire fix his error when he realized his mistake?

All-Canadian semifinal.

Gentlemanly though it would have been for Milos to own up to having touched the net and generously concede the point, I also do not think this is a big deal. I doubt most would do that. Anyway, I might watch the semifinal tomorrow. Why not? It's not like I have a job!

I watched. It was not a good match, really. I'll watch the big one later, which also has a good chance of not being great. Yay Saturday!

Wonder if Peliwo got lucky or Nieminen just stole his moment. I've just Googled Peliwo in search of hotness and found a not yet mature boy. Please explain. Is this like that time I had a crush on Gendry from Game of Thrones, until I Googled him and found upsettingly outdated photos from his time on Skins?

Pospisil's on a rampage! Took down the mighty ex of Deadisova. I hope no one's going to tell me that Vasek is a jerk like Polansky. If his interview immediately prior to Milos' was any indication, he's not very articulate. He had just lost though. Also, he's a tennis player, so I suppose that being articulate is not the goal.

Raonic in the final and takes Gasquet's spot in the Top 10 via cheap Canadian final. I'll take that upgrade.

I know the ump can correct him/herself if they call the score wrong, but what if replay shows a situation like this where an obvious error has been made after the score's been called - are they able to change that? They should be. I should ask @unseededlooming or something.

I have no idea either. In slightly related news, the umpire lost track of the score during Nadal and Djokovic's match last night. He entered it wrong, and then didn't call it on the next point, as thought he didn't know what it was. The crowd was booing and Nadal and Djokovic were both just like "dude..." It was a small, but great moment for all.

I'm 99% sure the ump can change after calling the score, but changing after seeing a replay on the big screen opens up a can of worms, especially when there's a local player involved.
