Lisicki/Niculescu, Kumkhum/Barthel, Gasquet/Davydenko and Li/Bencic all on concurrently? Oh man.

I'd like to see Gassy and Davydenko, but won't due to sleeping.

Watching Kumkhum, who's picked up where she left off vs. another slow basher.
Li whomping the kids - she's just bagelled Bencic as well...

We haven't had an out Buddhist lesbian on tour before, have we? (Re: Kumkhum)

This Kumkhum is good!
Probably a lesbian, indeed.

She is good!

Bencic has broken Li twice in the second set after her bagel, but has handed the break back immediately both times, blowing points for 5-3 in the last game

I'd like to see Gassy and Davydenko, but won't due to sleeping. I saw a little of the first set, and it was sad. King Kolya was up 5-2 but ended up losing the set in a tb. He didn't BELIEVE.

Bencic has broken Li twice in the second set after her bagel, but has handed the break back immediately both times, blowing points for 5-3 in the last game She's a good player, isn't she! Good for Li to hang on & take the tb. Entertaining match! Have seen part of 2 Bencic matches so far at this AO & not seen any of the brattiness that I saw from her in a challenger last year, either. I'm a fan.

Li had to dig deep to win that one. Bencic does have some potential.
Lisucki lost a set to Niculescu.

SHE DID? Oh, man! Please say Makarova hasn't lost a set to Falconi, as well! And yeah, it was great to see Li looking so confident in her game, rather than the old wobbling we used to see.

Niculescu actually leads that H2H 3-1.
Bencic's strokes really remind me of Hingis.

Kinda falling asleep. On the one hand, Kumkhum and Niculescu going into third sets. On the other, sleep. Take advantage of the heat break...?

I was thinking of checking out Barthel-Luksika since they split sets. And since Kolya lost the 2nd set & won't be coming back from that, despite Wuss's famed aversion to heat. Glad to see that Falconi didn't end up winning a set after all. Wait! They've put Niculescu on tv, so will watch that for a moment. Will be interesting to hear Old Hag's comments about the famous FSG game.

More Tennis Channel free ads for Sugarpova, in the guise of a feature about Maria the Businesswoman. Ugh! Anyway I know we only get Sabine Appelmans till Serena comes on. It's fun to see a little bit of these 2, but I prefer the Mona match.
Wait, probably ESPN has laid claim to that match for their own not-live hours. Good; I'd rather enjoy the commentators' remarks about FSG and her Funky FS.

"The wheels have come off for Sabine Lisicki." What a strange tournament it's been for this half of the women's side.
Meanwhile, LK got the break back on Mona. We will see if Mona will become a FIGHTER!!!!!!!11

But the phlegmatic Mona breaks back and will serve for the match. I like Kumkhum and would love to see her have a great season, but I'll always root for the talented but enigmatic Moooonnnnnnaaaa.

And there's the upset, Sabine is out. Somewhere up in Canada, Brinyi is applauding for his favorite forehand slice girl.

Well, well, well, Mona does it! And she towers over Kumkhum in the friendly handshake. Mona looks so happy. See, Mona, how fun it could be if you would put in the effort? You could win and smile so often!

Disappointed for Kumkhum but at least it benefits Mona. Please try harder this year.
Niculescu beating Lisicki was a riot.
I think Stosur will beat Pironkova...it's been hyped up but there are match-up issues. Obv hoping massively otherwise.
Ugh, Gulbis, NID that you'd flop but can you at least try not to benefit the likes of Querrey.
Pretty astonished that Hantuchova won a 12-10 epic third set over anyone, let alone in-form servebot Karolina Pliskova.

Welp, Keys still waiting for that break-out Slam result. Good to see Zheng still grabbing wins though!
Bouchard is going to have the most annoying fans EVER very soon.

Heh, so it transpires that Lauren Davis can be fun to watch - if she's playing against Goerges and killing her with consistency and smart play.

Bouchard's game is so generic. At times during rallies I couldn't tell her apart from Razzano. But I guess she's moderately pretty.

She was pretty evenly matched with La Razz which says it all. Nothing that suggests a future elite player at all, despite the WTA craving it so badly.
But she's solid, has a very good mentality and doesn't choke, and is probably the favourite for the QF now - she won't give Zheng as much pace to feed off as Keys did.
God I can't wait for Konjuh and Bencic (and Keys? and Vekic?) to get good so we can stop pretending that Stephens and Bouchard are the future.

Beck is woeful. I've seen nothing but horrible unforced errors so far. And she somehow double-bageled Martic in round 1.
