If she doesn't play New Haven, I will have to think she's not coming back ever.

I think it's safe to assume her career is over already.
But, I'll still keep checking because I'm stupid.

Oh, she's not in the San Diego draw.
And wtatour.com hasn't bothered keeping up with her withdrawals, finally.

We've known that forever about Irina. She was a bad junior player, as well. I wish I could contact her about Elena, though.

I heard that Elena got a wildcard into next weeks Ladies Kremlin Cup. I hope it's true and that Elena finally returns to the tour.

You probably should since I doubt most understand. The winning ceremony wasn't shown anywhere. Ugh. I thought they showed it over in Australia or something? Anyway, when Lena won New Haven back in 2004, it was very hot. I think that day the air temp was like 92, and it was really humid. On court it felt like 110 or something. So they had the heat break and such. After the match during the on court presentation, they asked her something like, "How did you do it?" and she said, "Well, you know it was like that Nelly song, Hot in! Hot in!" and she did the raise the roof thing with her arms. It was funny, and everyone was clapping for her. Then she lifted the trophy as the sun beat down on the Connecticut Tennis Center. Who knew she'd never return again.
