Really, nobody posts here except me and my clones. That's quite simply not true.

I vote No. If the Russians go on another winless streak of 2 years or more, like the one that Elena Bovina finally ended in Sopot or somewhere a couple years back, I will get interested in them again and will be posting here like a madwoman!

Warsaw, you stupid hag. Stop pretending to be a Bovina fan.

I am not pretending to be an EB fan; if I still were one, how could I forget Warsaw? I just believe in giving credit where it's due. EB ended the Russian title-free streak. In retrospect, I kind of enjoyed that streak. ;D
To prevent further misunderstandings, how about if I spell out my position on the Russian ladies:
I still like & root for Dementieva because I love the way she fights out there, and I like other things about her, such as the moving speech she gave following the US Open final, where she had to wrestle the microphone away from Pam.
I like Sveta okay.
I feel bad for Anastasia because of what she's going through with her Mom, and I respect her for winning a Slam.
I root against Sharapova, but I don't really dislike her.
The rest of the Russians I am basically neutral about nowadays, including EB.
Now if anyone chooses to misinterpret any of this post, I will be happy to boringly clarify my position even more minutely. ;D

I like this Sharapova tv commercial for Canon! She does a nice job.

We had people over the new house to watch the season finale of "24" -- eight guys, seven of whom are straight, and the eighth being me. That commercial made them all act very lecherous. Though we had a Kournikova-Sharapova Hotness Poll, and it was like 6-2 Anna. Maybe 5-3. But Anna won.
My work posts always suck because the comps are set to 800x600 or whatever, and half of the posting box is cut off, so I cannot see my full lines!

I like this Sharapova tv commercial for Canon! She does a nice job. She says one line. The real people to commend are whoever made her skin look nice. They did an incredible job. She almost looks like an entirely different person.

Yes, she does seem to be coated with almost a Kournikova-level of makeup. Not really my cup of tea, but I still think she looks great. No shrieking in the ad, thankfully!

Good luck to ED today. I hope we'll get to see her a little because I'd like to know how she's playing. It seems that that whole side of the draw is set up for Kim to get through -- she's the only one there who's playing well. Can ED challenge her in that half?

You forget the Batty one! Ah yes! Thanks for the reminder. The Batty one is doing okay so far. Keep it up, Batty! ED and AM3 really dragging things out here. No wonder, as they trade their 80 mph serves and cover the court with matching UEs. In the end we know AM3 has to choke if she nears a win, so why play the rest of it out? Let them go get a shower, I say! And the winner should try for amnesia so as to have the guts to go on after this travesty.

Congrats, ED. You made it through. But repeating your finalist performance from last year, that's going to be a tall order, the way you've been playing.

Martina was in two adverts and didn't say anything in either of them. I don't see the point in Nadia.

I used to like Nadya a lot more, because she does have an awesome serve. But I got tired of her never winning a tournament. Time to step up.
Right now ED and EB are either tanking or just playing bad in their doubles match. 26 14 against Benesova/Peschke.

26 16 for EB/ED. Nice effort there. Hey, if you don't want to play doubles, don't enter.

Nice work these 2 wks from the unsung Elena L. She might go unnoticed, but her career has not been too bad; she's in the top 30 in career prize money in WTA history.

It's as right as Bovina being there. 10-15 is the natural abode for players like those two when they're in one of their good streaks, and for Meghann Shaughnessy at her best; that is, for players who never get any very dramatic wins but don't lose in the first round too often either.

omg, Elena Likh was out of place out there today. Just awful. Oh well, now she can always say she was in a Slam semifinal, and that's a pretty cool height to reach at age 29.

Lik loses 1st round quite often, though... in at least 1/3 of her tournaments. Bovina has won at least one match in 28 of her last 30 tournaments. Including some injuries in there. Plus, even though she never ever beats players better than her... she usually makes it competitive before playing her stupid tennis. Linz final was the only real exception. And she was mucha tired.

Giant Barbie is definitely a better player than Likh; I didn't mean to imply otherwise. But as you know, the WTA rankings are set up so that Slam results are worth twice the points of regular results. EB needs to get her butt in gear and do something in a Slam for once. Right now her ranking is exactly where it belongs.
