Hmm, I wish I had actually written about what had happened at the time of those posts than just used emoticons Anyway. A good week in Roma, defended most of her SF points! Hopefully she can get a good draw at the French and improve on last year's result (third round). Hopefully she can make the fourth. That would be enough for me! Unless, of course, she has someone like Pelletier in the fourth and loses. GO VERA

A win at Yeastbourne! I like her draw, which means she'll lose next round.

It was time for Weepy Barbie to choke rather than be adored, and of course she did so, losing to Italy's famous Leonardo da Vinci 2 and 6.

I quite like Vinci, so I'm glad she's finally had a big tournament. And she needs all the grass points she can get while she can get them. But...blahhhhhhhhhh Off to Wimbledon...hoping for a kind draw and fourth round defense.

That was too hard against Weingartner. Peschke killed her in their last meeting -- 2 and 0! -- but I'm optimistic. I don't know why...but I am.

After a 6-1 first set too.
Well, I hope she enjoyed the last couple years in the Top 20, because once the dog days of summer hit, she won't see those heights for a while, if ever again.

Vera, Vera quite contrara, how did your ranking grow? I forget what she did in the first place to get so high up. But poor Weepy Barbie.

It's time for her to move aside for the new guard! Like Mary Pierce!

According to her blog www.zvonareva.ru/diary/en Vera now has a cat. Also her bio says her favourite actresses are Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts. Therefore, I am now 87.59% sure Vera is gay, and I felt the need to record this thought somewhere, so I can claim to be very perceptive if I turn out to be right, but not somewhere too prominent in case, as is more likely, I turn out to be wrong. Also in an entirely unrelated announcement Vera is now my official second fave because I'm bored with Myskina and Demented. That is all for now.

I don't much like her either, I just thought it funny that her bio mentions her fave actresses.

I noticed she often responds to questions in her guestbook. What do you think is the most subtle way I can ask her while still getting a meaningful response?

Ask her about the jubilation she felt after winning BOL.

Thats possibly a little too subtle.
