Supposedly Hewitt and Bag are playing if it's straight sets. And it just about is for Venus. I'll set my tape and finally go to bed.

Ugh. Crawled out of bed to find that Williams v Mirza is actually ON TV, so hungover. Watched it from 4-5 Mirza in the first set...patchy. Wow, Mirza makes some dumb UEs. Horrid TB from her. Bottom quarter of the women's draw has the potential to go seriously horrid...happy for A-Rad, but Sweater and Chak If (yuck) Hanturexia or (ugh) Kirilenko reach the SF... Grosjean God, waking up to these results...not good. Wow, Janko!

LOL. I'd love for Mirza to make a comeback here, just to totally piss off the Australians.

For Mirza against a top player, that was pretty good. I'm happy for her progress. Now bed.
Venus is definitely lucky to get away in straights.

16 hours of play, and Spadea survives! He's a gladiatea.
Too bad Nadal didn't get the night match tonight. It could have went on until sunrise.

Lol, from wtaworld, one of my favorite posts of the year in response to Venus saying no to possible court change: "3 things come to mind: 1. she's PMS-ing...again! 2. perhaps she knows the muslims are out to bomb Sania and she knows RLA has tighter security 3. she wants to be the modern day Rosa Parks who was asked to move and refused" Can Sania CLOSE? We'll find out in a minute. OMG, MinorityWorld at its finest!

I want this to go 20-18 in the 5th, because Fowler is just on the edge of saying something stupid and getting fired.

C'mon, Lleyton just has to lose now. And if he doesn't, the excuse is set for when Nole crushes him.

Jaslyn is a bodybuilder now.
It's frightening how she's similar in the face with Lleyton. Poor girl.

Yeah, she's a bodybuilder! I think she's cuter than Bec, I don't get her appeal.
I just woke up after my 6 hours. Of course Hewitt had to go 5. What a ridiculous day at a Grand Slam. A match starting at midnight is the record for latest ever, and it ended around 4:30 AM.
Have to say KUDOS to ESPN2. They cancelled all other (stupid) programming and stuck with live tennis from 10 PM to Noon the next day, so that's 14 consecutive hours of live coverage. Now they're replaying Tipsy/Fed from the very start.
Uh, I lurve tennis.

CMON! *fist pump* *chainsaw*
When Lleyton lost the 4th, I nearly had a heart attack. But I couldn't help but laugh when Bag was laughing at what was happening. Heh.

I'd take Jaslyn over Bec, as well. Bec is bleh. It doesn't help they show her EVERY DAMN POINT. It's too bad that Snotso lost. Those FH's he was hitting in the 5th set... damn. It's nice when the lower ranked player doesn't die against Roger. Well, he did in the final break, but he couldn't keep it up forever. Damn Roger adding a bug serve to his already perfect game. Except for those short slice returns... he's overdoing that. Where does the Snotso nickname come from anyway? Is it just because he said some... to be nice, questionable things early in his career? Snotso is fun to say and type, so I don't care.

I bet day 7 of the 2008 Australian Open is a letown after all the drama of day 6.

Yay. Poor Janko. But Fed needs to win for Nadal no No.1. That's exactly what I think. Fed needs to stay at #1 until someone overtakes Nudd-Ahl. Surprised at how tamely Kuznetsova went down to Radwanska. It looked like a routine/never in doubt win. Kuznetsova is the kind of player who takes the worst beatings and comes back the very next week as if nothing had happened, but I wonder if her umpteenth loss in a final may not have shaken her confidence. Kirilenko vs Chak was fun. I had never noticed before how they play much the same game, yet hit the ball in a completely different way.

I thought Kuznetsova was on the way down after her loss in the 3rd round last year to Peer, but she got right back and kept plugging away, making her quarters, semis, making her finals, and to all of our surprises she ended the year at #2. So I don't see this loss to Radwanska hurting her that much, but I do expect her to be passed up by the likes of Ivanovic, Sharapova, Serena, maybe Venus, and possibly some other girl who has a surprise season. They're all better, and they seem focused this year.

Meh, Federer losing #1 is merely a formality and a minor dent to his statistical prowess.
It's only because he doesn't bother to win more 250 tournies like Tokyo, Doha, etc...
It's all Fat Dave's fault anyway.
