Wow. Vaidisova's game is so so fugly. And she is so immobile and limited and ... just godawful. She makes the worst errors. And give her a deep ball on her feet, she's totally clueless. I intensely dislike her. If she ever wins a Slam I will post naked pics. This post almost makes me wish she won't.

ESPN2 is showing the match, surprisingly.

Well, it is 4-0 in the third. Davydenko is ... why, he might be tanking this third and final set! No way!

Why do I like any Russian players. Start the Wheelchair event. I know I can't lose there.

WOW! I jinxed Davydenko saying he's getting to the finals. This run by Youzhny starting to remind me of 2006 USO. The 4-set win from a set down over Seppi similar to his 4-set win from a set down against Ferrer. His unexpectedly easy straight-set thrashing of Top 5 Davydenko similar to his straight-set thrashing of Top 5 Robredo. Now, all he needs is a comeback from two sets to love down, which he can do in the QF against Tsonga, and then a win over Nadal again, and then a win over federer and it's an exact replica! Oh wait... This is also huge for Misha's ranking. This QF will give him a cushion heading into crazy February with all his points to defend. Lots of people predicted a Davydenko-Murray QF, but it becomes Youzhny-Tsonga. Crazy!

All we need now is Mathieu to beat Nadal.
2008 is looking bright so far, eh?

This is Kolya's first loss before a QF in a GS besides Wimbledon since 2005 US Open, when he lost to Srichaphan and I was at that match.

Misha is undefeated in 2008!
I'm Leo_DFP from WTAW, and Leo from MTF. Honestly besides Becca, Hurley, and Leena, I'm not sure which posters you guys are from other forums. I used to post here back in the days of Hackie and those stragglers from JCF's fan forum on ATPW (olden days).

The scary thought is that if Misha makes the semis... Wertheim was right! About that, anyway. But still, shocking. He jinxed Misha here in 2005.

This is going to sound strange, but I just had a personal break through. I just started a new medication. Pills that are not supposed to be chewed or crushed, but swallowed whole. I have never been able to swallow pills in my life, I've just chewed them. I've always had a mental block about it. I called my doctor complaining and asking for a prescription for something chewable, and they said deal with it. Well finally for the first time I was able to intentionally swallow a pill, and I have to credit Misha for giving me the inspiration and self-confidence. I'm moved! :megahearts: :megadruggedhearts:

I'm curious to see how well Jelena can stop the Casey Train. Probably very inefficiently, knowng her.

Apparently Ferrero is back to the Prince. That, and the haircut = back to basics.
Does he beat Ferrer or no? I'm more worried about David #2 for him than I am about Djokovic. I want to see him beat Nole and prove that he is better.

Goodness. Gasquet is truly hideous-looking. The gaggle of gays who want to bone him perplex me verily. I like him, a lot, but he's horribly ugly. This...no. So sensationally wrong. Wuss is hot. The only negative is his lack of shoulders. Which isn't even that much of a negative. Ignoring, of course, the negatives involved in sucking in Slam 4Rs JCF I thought he'd win, but not by a score like that. Kolya I like Misha but as Leena said, this was such a huge opportunity. At least to add to our collection of Slam SFs, if not more. Marta Amazing! Wish it hadn't come at Li's expense, and we are not going to beat Venus, but still...good comeback! Back in the top 100 soon, hopefully. Lena Justine will surely beat Mariabot, though. Watching Jankovic v Dellacqua at the moment...wow, Casey actually does suck. I mean...she can hit winners. But she has no idea how to get herself in a position to do so beyond running Jankovic side-to-side. And she has the ugliest lefty FH I've seen. She has just come back from 2-5 in the first set though. Jankovic was playing OK, not hideously, but really not sharp. She's really let Casey dictate the last three games. Also, Jank has the hugest forehead since Tina. The Croydon facelift haircut is not a good look for her at all. btw, I was sartrista on The World.

I was about to post, Jankovic got 5-2 up by going to net a lot and hitting some really nice volleys, why has she stopped doing it? Then she came to net on...was that a MOONBALL? Guh.

Jankovic is so bad. She should not be in this tournament anymore. Paszek really blew it, she could have gone to the quarters.

Jankovic may suck, but she can make Serena go off in the QF by getting balls back. Still, I think Serena is serving well enough and staying calm enough to beat her.

Remember last year? Serena thrashed Jankovic. I commented that she played uninspired and tired tennis. Compared to this year, Jankovic played magnificently back then.

Thanks to nouf: fr.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ42WV-ZLE8 ;D Yeah, but Jankovic was really flat against Serena last year. The hype of that match was too much pressure. Now Serena is favorite, so Jelena can hit out more and will probably have some wacky points.

ES commentators said that the night before her first YEC match last year, Jankovic played an exhibition. In Seville.
I really want to love her - I love her game when she's on, and she's charming and funny in interviews - but...SO DUMB.
I can't even see her annoying a set out of Serena, to be honest. She looked flat and lethargic. She's not moving well at the moment - the injury? fatigue? probably both. She was best when she was being aggressive, but this didn't happen too often - she seemed to be content to wait for Dellacqua errors, most of the time.
