Grade 1 jr event in Luxembourg
Distaff final: Michaela Krajicek (1) def. Caroline Wozniacki (2) , 4-6; 6-2; 6-2 /me fears the WTA will be confusing with both Wozniak and Wozniacki
Non-distaff final: Lukas Lacko (1) SVK def Jochen "Don't Call Me Rainer" Schottler (15) GER, 6-1; 6-4
By the way, A.Krasnoroutsky made it to the semis where he lost to Schottler, good effort... Pathetic Sergei Bubka lost 2R to Herbert Weirather

Will Donald be playing?? A big boo to the Fat spaniard ;D Why would he bother with junior events when he can play at Williams Sisters exhibitions? (he was at one is Chicago on the weekend) But I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up at the OB, he needs to have something to show for all this hype beside the Chanda Rubin Wherever title!

Seriously, I wish her luck! There's some big money in Singapore and if she ever gets in the top 100 she will be stinking rich. Now watch Wozniak defect to Poland, Dancevic and Nestor to Serbia-Montenegro, Dubois to France...

lol @ the idea of Big-mouthed Mo Drake in Lithuania! I don't know why it sounds so funny. I think she would frighten Lina S! Now Blanche Dubois in France, I can see that! A nice rivalry with Bare Butt would be just the ticket to get her to the next level. But she's from North America -- she'd probably miss our lovely "All You Can Eat" restaurants!

Chris Guccione is still alive? Here I was thinking that he retired after beating Ferrero thinking "it will never get better than this".

Chris Guccione is still alive? Here I was thinking that he retired after beating Ferrero thinking "it will never get better than this". Haaaaa... looks like his best performance since that Ferrero win was a SF at the Andorra challenger -- he has not even gone farther than that at the satellites and future level -- until now!

In Memory of Okechi Womeodu
On Wednesday, November 10th, junior tennis player Okechi Womeodu died suddenly at his high school in Memphis, Tennessee. The sixteen year old was playing an indoor soccer event when he passed out, apparently from a heart condition.
Okechi has been ranked in the top 100 of the USTA National Rankings for the past three years. This summer he was the singles and doubles winner at the Southern Open Championships. Just last week he made it to the finals of the ITF Chanda Rubin Junior Circuit in South Carolina with his doubles partner Jeff Dadamo.
Our thoughts go out to the family at this tragic time. He will be greatly missed in the junior tennis community.

Just 16 and died of a heart condition I always struggle to understand these deaths among young sportsmen. Aren't they the people whose health is/should be regularly screened? When I was at high school, I used to play handball for our city's team and we had to undergo numerous medical tests twice a year.
