I see that last week in St. Paul, Morigami was unable to complete the Craybas-Granville double, and Granville, with her opponent bored into submission, won the final. Wow, the unheralded Lee! Ye! Ra! won the Bendigo $50K! Whiting! Su-Wei won a doubs title in her Taipei homeland. The single title went to 15yo and 6th ranked world jr CHAN, Yung-Jan (TPE). ;D The Kiwiette Erakovic is in the Warrnambool $10K quarters, and need not worry about her bitter rival Szili, who lost in the 2R.

Fromthe USTA site with several editing enhancements While top-seed D A L L Y (MAD) advanced with a tough 7-5, 7-6 (8) victory over Japan’s Aiko Nakamura Tuesday, two other seeded players weren’t as lucky, as No. 2 Martina Sucha of the Slovak Republic and No. 6 Tatiana Perebiynis of the Ukraine lost their opening-round matches at the 50K Amerilending Challenger of Orange, Calif. Sucha fell easily to Germany’s Julia Schruff, 6-1, 6-1, and Perebiynis went down in three sets by Laura Pous-Tio of Spain, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2. Spaniard Marta Marrrrrrrrrrrrrero, who is the highest seeded player in the lineup at No. 3, will take on Cho! Yoon!Jeong! of Korea.
