it's nice to see her not only win a match but go three sets without retiring or getting bagelled. Sadly, she didn't have enough in the tank to do that twice. (1)Tatjana Malek (GER) d. Ugh - Robson, Keothavong and Zhang were the three I'd hoped could really hoover up some points this week, and look where they all are. Wozniak had better not be the one to emerge from that, though really she'd be the one I'd bet on. Maybe Doi can break the top 100 this week? Hopefully Shvedova gets back on track too otherwise it's doubles specialist time for her. Yeah...look how all this turned out Terrible tournament.

Dubois is a WC in Mtl too, so she'd better start semi-tanking soon! Cohen might pull off a Montreal WC double. Nice call. Julia Cohen in the QF of a 100k tournament Not bad for her, I guess....

At least Hsieh vs Nara is a welcome final in the Beijing 75K. Most of the kiddies - Diyas, S.Zheng, Garcia - disappointed, obviously.

Jamie Hampton has reached the singles and doubles finals in Vancouver. It's true that she was the beneficiary of walkovers over top seed Niculescu in both draws, but that's okay; she played and won her other matches.

BRONX 50K -- sad to see it downgraded after 2 years as 100K+H. And the field is correspondingly less interesting. Here's what happened in Qr2: (1/wc)Yaroslava Shvedova (KAZ) d. By the way this Camila Giorgi needs to be the new The Hair. I posted a great pic of her and her hair but it turned out to be gigantic so I deleted it. But if she keeps getting better maybe you'll see her sometime.

Why do my posts in this thread always get doubled?

That keeps happening to me, too. If I take to long to write a post, I get an "ERROR" message, saying it's not going to post. So then I post it again, and then find out the original one did post, but doesn't show up on the "latest post" place on the main page. Is that what happens to you?

As for Elbo, that's astonishing. She must remember winning this a couple years ago and was determined not to go out to a geezer in r1. But poor Anne! She worked so hard to earn that seeding and then falls apart like Woz in Toronto.

So then I post it again, and then find out the original one did post, but doesn't show up on the "latest post" place on the main page. Is that what happens to you? It happens whenever I use the quick reply box instead of going for the regular reply button at the bottom of the thread. Then, as you say, the error message pops out, saying it wont post the message, but it instead posts 2 messages, lol. And yeah, many times posts don't get updated on the main page, so I often ignore the Challengers thread for several days because I think no one posts there, only to realize a few days later that there was plenty of stuff going on.
