Listening to the homer announcers talking about Towers was pretty funny. The gist was, "He seems to be really good at settling down after he gives up 8 early runs".

It was even funnier when Pat Tabler revealed his ignorance of the proper pronounciation of 'facade'. The Jays have a very, very good bench. I'd like it to remain intact, but dealing Hillenbrand or Zaun for a better than average starter might be what they have to do to contend this year.

Giambi walked four times last night. That's insane.

Giambi walked four times last night. That's insane. Clearly you are unacquainted with the walk total history of B. Bonds.

No. The difference with Bonds is that usually alot of his walks come as the result of a pitch-out. I believe none of Giambi's walks were on purpose last night.

Bonds is most often walked unintentionally/intentionally, if you catch my drift. Giambi jerked a three-run shot again today ... but it was off Idiot Towers, so it hardly counts. I guess the Yankees are happy they didn't void Jason's contract last spring. Towers SUCKS.

Ohhh kay. Back to 5-all. Now the Jays only need four more runs to balance out the nine Towers will end up surrendering.

I remember how all the local New York sports reporters were saying he was finished, and that the Yankees needed to get rid of him, and the only thing he'd be good for would be walks. Ha!

Hey, maybe Lilly is alright after all ...
NO MORE TOWERS.
The Jays need yon victory today. A split w/ Boston is likely the best we can hope for so ... taking both games from the O's would be nice.

This just in: Baseball stinks. Well, I'll tell you what, Towers certainly does! And they plan to keep starting him. His next outing will be against Oakland, and he may actually have a hope in hell of not giving up 8 runs against them. Nah.

If they are human beings and carry a bat, Towers will give up 8 runs against them!

If they are human beings and carry a bat, Towers will give up 8 runs against them! I believe you have the correct impression. The Jays hammered the Angels today to get to 15-13. Towers is 0-6. Imagine if they had even a subpar starter in his place ... Burnett ... come back ... pitch well. If only we could clone Halladay.

You'd hate the Mets if they could buy wins like the Yanks. Yep, I would! But they can't and they don't so I don't. Anyway, I feel bad for Mets fans. Mets fans are in the same painful position as Phillies fans year after year, with the added irritation of having those odious Yanks and their odious fans in the same town.

Chacin has been placed on the 15 day DL. On the upside, Towers now has a win. I think Monsieur Fauviau must have gotten into the D-Rays' water bottles!
