Very well. I think Spain bets Russia 3-1. But I haven't put any money on it First half 0-0. Raul's got long hair now? I didn't recognize him in half an hour...

Portugal looked pathetic out there. So many balls went to directions were there weren't any players standing They also seemed a bit slow. Maybe they were nervous.

Spain wasn't that great either. They won 1-0. They mostly fell into their usual overcomplicated style. The Russian seemed to doubt themselves whenever they got into good positions.

Spain and Portugal played bad matches, Spaniards were lucky that they were playing Russia who played even worse. Raul messed up quite a few chances; this match was a reflection of his season so far. But he's a saint in Spain, so he won't be replaced.

He's been over-the-hill for the last three or four years. I think they should play Christiano Ronaldo in his position, keep Rui Costa as play-maker and maybe play Deco on the left. They would still have the defensive problem called Fernando Couto though. Don't know what to do about him.

I mean Portugal did nothing Deco tried and so did Ronaldo, but they had no one on the back post for Ronaldo's crosses. Fair play to the Greeks, they played within their limits and did what they had to do. Russia well they will probably do well in the last game when it doesn't count. They moved the ball when they decided to, the problem Smertin is not a defender and he was playing as one.

The bs flies when they describe the Sven's champion coaching on Swedish telly. Don't they know his main trick is to make the player's wanna be cool like him and have a hot Italian girlfriens like him

Baaaaaah, what a nightmare! This is intolerable cruelty. Heartbreaking match, my mind is still reeling with disbelief. Maybe football isn't really my sport. It's hard enough surviving tough tennis matches. My heart goes out to England and all fans.

France is always my fave in a tournament, but I lost hope today. Zidane is a great player and was able to stay calm and focused when it mattered. It was an entertaining match, although not always with the best play. I've got nice soccer memories already tonight so I'm not too upset anymore about having to miss Italy's first match tomorrow Beckham's penalty was not surprisingly stopped by Barthez. They know each other well from ManU. Sorry Emma

What a great robbery by the French. I mean I didn't think they were going to win, though I made 3 correct calls all night and have witnesses.
I knew Barthez would save the penalty. Zizou would score from the free kick and then the penalty.
France couldn't break down the 10-0-0 formation, a little thing called width wasn't used enough to stretch them out. I mean France pumping long balls up the centre at the end against England isn't working.
The French attacked and probably deserved a draw, but that clownish error from Gerard I have to admit I was laughing considering he had Cole next to him and Heskey's forward tackle outside the box didn't need to happen.
The French stole that one, but they were good enough to steal the victory, there might be changed needed for the French team, and the English will have to be more attack minded in the next games.
The best thing was in Portugal, that the English fans were well behaved, though that might change. I saw an interview with Lampard afterwards, and he was very classy in that particular situation and that's another plus for Frankie boy.

wow, well unbelievable. I was at a BBQ and at the end we all just sat in stunned silence. I was totally crushed. I still am, we were so close those last few minutes seemed to go on forever. France were nothing without Zidane. Damn, I missed the Lampard interview, but the more I see of Frank (which has been a lot) the bigger fan of his I am becoming. He seems like a really nice guy (lots of documentaries ) I still can't believe it really, the haters will be having a field day Anyway, just got to move on and beat Switzerland and Croatia to make sure we go through. for King, Lampard and Rooney. I fear Terry may not get his place back when he is fit lol. The only 3 players who really did anything of significance. Well, besides Gerrard and Heskey but thats different obviously.
