But to me it always sounds like a case of them protesting too much; it's a little bit fake. You know they'd really much, much, MUCH rather be talking about that other jerk. They know that people don't tune in for Phil the way they do for TOJ, and no amount of OTT Phil-praising is going to change that. Reminds me a little of tennis commentators in the old days trying so hard to talk up, say, Lindsay Davenport, when they knew darned well that the masses only wanted to see and hear about Anna Kournikova. |
