Bartoli is playing Seles-esque tennis.
This is unbelievable.

My friend just entered the room again. The jinx is in place. Justine will win.

Bartoli is playing Seles-esque tennis. This is unbelievable. A lot of her shots today have been Seles-esque.

Anyway, this is what I love about sports. You just NEVER KNOW, even if it's Bartoli! :lmao:

40-15 for Justine.
Let's not let her blame the Serena match. Bartoli has scrapped through back-to-back three set comebacks to get here.

The only downside to this is that it hands the title pretty much to Venus. But I think I'll take that for Marion in Wimbledon final.

She just said she saw Pierce Brosnan in the crowd and was inspired to play better because he's her favourite actor!

Marion in a Wimbledon final! omg, it's so preposterous! The 2nd pudgy Slam finalist this year! Is "pudgy" the shape of the future, then? I am so excited for Marion. But I hope Justine is okay.

I first saw Marion play in person in 2003, in a poxy little four-court sports hall, playing a Cardiff $25k.
This is a long, long fucking way from that. I was hoping for a Justine title, but I am really, really happy for our little Cake right now.

Justine has never lost a match like this, has she? Reminds me of Lindsay losing to Sharapova in the 2004 semifinals here, although even that is not on the same magnitude as this.
So Henin's streak of five straight Grand Slam final appearances has ended. And how.
It's tough to know how to evaluate this. She looked so fit, so prime winning her French title and she displayed no weakness in winning Eastborne. And she seemed fine in getting through Serena. To what do we ascribe this loss? Marion's match of her life? A Henin meltdown without parallel?
Whenever she plays next (Justine), it'll be starting from scratch. A loss like this is no regular L; it knocks one off their throne.
And whatever happens tomorrow in the final, Marion Bartoli is a new player, inducted into the ranks of the game's best.
Gasquet is bringing me out of my numbness with his play in this tiebreak. He may beat Andy yet.
