Yeah, I thought Chak/Mirza was going to be the night match. Vaid/Peer is good too, but still.
Glad they're not giving the Banshee all night matches. Just 6 out of 7, then.

I would've expected Hingis-Azaraneka to get a better slot, but Tina's already had two matches in Arthur Ashe. Azarenka's got a huge shot at pulling off the upset, though. :/

I have no idea what Eurosport will show of all of this. I'll just let the VCR running and FFWD a lot when I get back home.

Well, they won't show Sharapova vs Radwanska and Petrova vs Szavay, which is a shame since I was interested in both of these matches. I hope Szavay wins and that Masha vs Aga will be at least competitive.
I don't understand why they're beginning with coverage 2 hours late this year. It's not because of Osaka, it's finished at least an hour before the tennis starts.

They were either frightened off too many hours of live tennis after the rainouts at the 2006 USO and this year's Berlin and RG or just bought a cheaper package and are merely using it to plug some holes in their programming. Or both.

What I don't get is why Schnyder-Paszek deserves Grandstand over Chak-Mirza -- Schnyder doesn't have a big happy following like Sania's, she's lower ranked than Chak, etc etc -- very confusing.

They hate Chak for some reason.
Not that being on Grandstand or Court 11 really means much... they're all TV courts at this point. And CBS is very unlikely to show either for more than 3 seconds.

It looks like it's going to be a bad day for the Masha's. Sharapova is a bit beffuddled by Radwanska's fine all court play. And Vakulenko is routining Kirilenko.

Sveta better take advantage of this further softening of her already tender draw oh and in the final game of Szavay-Petrova, Nadia had bp, umpire overruled one of her forehands and she yelled at him, got a code violation and didn't get either of the next two returns over the net...in fact I think the last one bounced before even reaching the net
