Anna is a doll.
Demented always looks great. Except for this summer.

I've always thought that Myskina is much more attractive than Dementieva. If you don't consider those photoshoots where she'd usually come across as a lead singer of a death metal band, she was stunning. Her body is just ridiculously perfect.

I've always thought that Myskina is much more attractive than Dementieva. If you don't consider those photoshoots where she'd usually come across as a lead singer of a death metal band, she was stunning. Her body is just ridiculously perfect. On those "most beautiful player" polls, I always voted Myskina. People say she's "weird looking", but she's actually a classic beauty with an oval face, and a figure to die for. It's a generational thing; men around my age will (or should) be more likely to prefer Myskina to the braided blonde Lolitas. Too bad I disliked her game, even on grass, and always considered her to be an opportunist and massive overachiever.

Those links don't work for me, but I've seen the Myskina pics before.
I will always think of ED as the most beautiful, and I will always love her, and I know it's partly because of her very moving speech after she lost the US Open final. She grabbed the mike right back from Pam Shriver, and I loved that. And she didn't even talk about tennis but about humanity. And she loves studying French!

Myskina was too thin for my liking. Fair enough. But it's not like she's a stick insect like Danka. Whereas Demented is a little weaker in the face... Ever since I first saw photos of Szavay I thought what a shame it is that she's such a paperbag beauty. Dementieva's face and swan neck match her body type I think.

Bovina gave the best speeches/interviews ever. You could bring up paint drying, and she could babble for an hour about it. That New Haven week was incredible. Too bad we didn't get to see the champion's ceremony. Grrr... miss her.

personality wise I love Elena, as for her game back in 2004 when she beat capriati at the French she had the huge forehand and she used to go up to the net, where has that all gone, now she just runs balls down:(

Ever since I first saw photos of Szavay I thought what a shame it is that she's such a paperbag beauty. What's a "paperbag beauty"? "Doable if you put a paperbag over her head". In Szavay's case, great figure, but very austere features (fleshless face, no lips).

Ah, that's what I was afraid you meant. But I like her face. She's pretty (I think) but it's different from the usual bland-pretty Barbie face -- sort of like Golovin's. Same goes for Myskina.

Actually, I recall we do have Golovin listed as a Barbie. But she doesn't really fit the Barbie mold; her face is too asymmetrical, which is what makes it attractive.

Jankovic is the paperbag par excellence, of course.
Golovin would be perfect if you tweaked a thing or two. The way she is, too flawed to be truly attractive. On the "slightly weird but still compelling" stakes, I think I'd go with Safarova. Or Vesnina.

Davydenko beating Fed would be awesome. Then Djokovic could win the title! Alas, it's not going to happen. With how they're playing thus far, I think Kolya would be the favorite over Nole. And all this WTA drama. Oy. Well, Davydenko winning would also be awesome.
