Of course -- during THE SERENA SLAM! And people gave Justine shit for beating up on Kim for her first three Slam titles. Serena pwned Venus 4 times in a row! Yeah, but she beat Hingis, Lindsay and Seles for her first one in 1999, and it was actually five in a row (Wimbledon 2003, too). Yes, but neither of those things happened during THE SERENA SLAM, which is where Venus made the final, which is what we were talking about. So...yeah.

Hey, so ... nobody noted Suarez Navarro's victory today? Fourth round! Fourth round! I didn't even know this! I've got to go look at the site to see what happened today.

Wow, I'm surprised PHM won that match.
And yes, exciting win for CSN.

funny that PHM and Schwank both say Wa-HIH when they hit the ball. But Schwank's Wa-HIH sounds more manly.

Yeah, Paulo seems a bit stronger mentally than before. /me blames Mats Nah. All of his performances in the MS clay events were his usual patheticness.

Moya and Pennetta broke up a while ago...I think that's why she was off the Tour for so long. Errrr, I could be making all of that up. Also. Cuevas/Horna def. Clement/Llodra

Oh, well she still sucks.
Also this Cibulkova/Jankovic is as painful as I expected. First hold wins.

Cibulkova holds. GSM.
Um...well, if Venus makes the SF, she pounds Ivanovic like she always does. Then Safina in the final = the start of THE VENUS SLAM.

Jankovic would so be my favorite player if she'd learn how to serve.
I'm ignoring work, too. But, it's Friday. Everyone is.

I'm ignoring work, too. But, it's Friday. Everyone is. Yeah, but I have to send things out on deadline, and I've already pushed half of it to Monday. If I don't get the other half done today, I'm gonna get creamed. Plus, I have to bill time, so I'm not just stealing from my job, like you are, but I'm also stealing from Giant Evil Client. And yet, I continue posting.

At least I'm not having sex at this job, like the last one. Oh, off-topic.
Cibulkova is very pretty. I'm surprised there's no hype machine for her yet.

I thought you were addressing the last remark, about Venus losing "four in a row" to Serena, to your remark about Justine beating Kim for her first three, in which case what I said is an acceptable correction. Justine's first three Slams were non-consecutive too.

Pennetta might easily complete the de-Williamsing of this Slam here.

Justine's first three Slams were non-consecutive too. Fair point. I did forget that not only was it a four-in-a-row pounding, it was a five-out-of-six one as well. If anything, that actually bolsters my point about Justine getting unfair shit for only beating Kim. Correction grudgingly accepted

Fuck. Now Venus comes back to win the last 11 games or whatever. Oh well, we can take solace in Ree's departure. Maria's going home VERY soon.
