Watched the end of the first set. Rafa winz.
Went for breakfast, came back and saw the end of the third. Lolz winz Rafa.
Went for a sauna, food shopping, and just came back for the start of the fifth. Hopefully there'll be more lolz winz!

Frana says Fed shouldn't look at the scoreboard. That after winning the game the possibility of victory will look much more reachable for him.
It is not like commentators ever say stuff we don't know.

This match is not over. And even if it was, all is well: we all know that Federer is winning Wimbledon. And where more fitting for him to match Pete? Or, you know, pass Pete, should he pull out this match. Either would do, really.
(now that I've clearly written Roger off for RG, Nadal will pull out of the tournament with AIDS and Federer will beat Some Guy in the final)

I have one.
"Oh, my, goodness, this is just painful to watch now" - M. Wilander.

This match is not over. And even if it was, all is well: we all know that Federer is winning Wimbledon. I don't know that. Not the way he's Mr. UE in this 5th set. And what's with the DFs on crucial points! Women's tennis!

That was quite good, until.. whatever it is that happened near the end there. You mean Fed's mental meltdown? He was Dementieva, Safina, Petrova all in one.

Federer should be ashamed of that last set. What happened? He played his worst set of the tournament right there!!!!
I just think Rafa won today because he's in Roger's head. It got down to the wire, and Roger just folded badly. He was tense all match, but then he went away in that last set. It's too bad.
Lately I wonder whether the real "greatest player ever" is Rafa ... I wonder whether we'll be saying that in the next few years. Six Grand Slams now ... only 22 ... well ... who knows where he'll be when he's 27 like Fed is now?
Unfortunately for Fed, he needed this match badly. He needed to snap the losing streak to Rafa and he failed. Now it's hard to see when he can break the duck. Maybe he gets to play him a few more times between now and Paris, but he MUST HAVE a win over Rafa soon or else maybe never get another.
As for #1, this just solidifies Rafa's grasp on it. I suppose Fed will have a bit more breathing space at #2 - but it's not like that matters to him. If Rafa gets one more major this year, and I think he will, he'll probably wrap up #1 for 2009.
I just have to go back to the gameplan that Rafa runs each time against Roger. That big funky forehand to his backhand. Roger can't deal with it. At 27, is he able to still get better? Can he flatten that shot out even more?
Is this the real end of the Roger era? He'll probably win more Slams, but can he get back #1?

Gah! So...it's going to be Rafa who completes the Full House before Fed! Wasn't that always the more likely scenario?
