ESPN2 just told us there'll be no commercials in this set! On BBC2, there are no commercials EVER! First point for Europe EVER! Anyway. That was SO awesome for SO many reasons. ;D

Gah! So...it's going to be Rafa who completes the Full House before Fed! Wasn't that always the more likely scenario? I should have qualified this with "since Wimbledon".

He doesn't get violent and throw things like I do, he just zipped up his jumper over his head. I explained how I used to throw remotes over Hingis and he just stared into space.

Roger has just singlehandedly made tennis the least manly sport ever. Quick, Rafa! Flex an arm or something. ANYTHING.

On the bright side, Federer didn't storm out of the stadium, slap anybody, or act hilariously ungrateful. So, this could have been worse for him. But more entertaining for us.

I can marginally get behind crying after winning, which he does ALL THE TIME. But this is unseemly.

I'd hold it against him way more if I thought he could help it. The fact that he was so genuinely beaten down, to the point of tears, after a 5 set match that he could have won had he not chumped out at the end... well, it's almost enough for me to not make fun of him. Almost.

I thought the good thing about Roger losing is he wouldn't cry. I'm wrong about everything.

It's nice that Federer has commemorated the 10-year anniversary of Hingis's meltdown at the French. He's so classy!

When Mirka had her face partially covered and was looking down, it was probably out of shared saddness, but I prefer to think it was out of shame.
Is this ever going to stop being fun?

I hope this sniveling doesn't make Rafa take his foot off the gas here. He is totally in Roger's head and can really keep racking up titles if he stays there.
As for Roger, he'll tie and break Pete's record soon enough. He's good for at least 2 or 3 more USOs AND Wimbledons.

My hockey board is full of homophobes. Something about liking "manly" sports like hockey and football requires a heavy dose of homophobia. I don't get it. Regardless, the board was littered with comments about how Federer needed to thump "Nancy Boy", "homo", and other uncreative fifth grade insults for Nadal. Apparently the fact that his pants and shorts hug his ass tightly (it's HUGE. They don't make pant seats large enough to fit baggy) , he wears a bandana, and speaks a funny language makes him 100% homo. Seeing this after Federer completely lost his shit made it all totally awesome.

Everyone cried? Ewww! Glad I turned off the tv after the last point! I'm not saying that crying isn't okay for male athletes, but once every 5-10 years is plenty.
