My hockey board is full of homophobes. Something about liking "manly" sports like hockey and football requires a heavy dose of homophobia. I don't get it. Regardless, the board was littered with comments about how Federer needed to thump "Nancy Boy", "homo", and other uncreative fifth grade insults for Nadal. Apparently the fact that his pants and shorts hug his ass tightly (it's HUGE. They don't make pant seats large enough to fit baggy) , he wears a bandana, and speaks a funny language makes him 100% homo. Seeing this after Federer completely lost his shit made it all totally awesome.

well that was unexpected ;D and Rafa again has to be the humble one and can't celebrate properly and will be looking more miserable in teh photos, what a joke, if he hadn't gone over to him he probably wouldn't have got back up on the stage and now he holds slams on all surfaces!!!

Everyone cried? Ewww! Glad I turned off the tv after the last point! I'm not saying that crying isn't okay for male athletes, but once every 5-10 years is plenty. Not everybody, but Roger cried enough for everybody. For the next 5-10 years. He was so choked up that he couldn't even finish his speech until Nadal gave him a hug and coaxed him into it. BROMANCE!

According to Serbian message boards, Roger is Ballbuster loves men!!1 erer and Nadal is the epitome of manliness. And now they're in uproar because Federer STOLE Nadal's MOMENT!!!!1 Oh, that thing again. They call him "Pederer" and peder = Ballbuster loves men!!1 :hearts:.

Roger always cries, a few years ago they attacked me in mtf because I said that his crying (after victories) was effeminate and over emotional.
Did he cry after losing the match too?
And how on earth could Rafa be less manly than Roger?

And how on earth could Rafa be less manly than Roger? I don't know. Because he has long hair and is Spanish? 12 year old Hockey fans are pretty basic.

I don't know. I too think there's something girly about Rafa, but then his physique counters it. He's like a princess with really big muscles.

Fed will get worse before he gets better, he is 27, most players are only good from age 20 to age 27/28, the exception are those like Agassi or Moya who missed some years, but Roger never missed a year.
Anyway, I think he still has two or three more slams in him.

I know this because people sometimes post trophy photos. I don't exactly make a habit of looking at his face, otherwise. I mean, I've seen worse, there's just better stuff to look at is all.

Congratulations to Rafael Nadal on defeating Roger Federer in 5 sets to win the 2009 Australian Open and his sixth grand slam. Now Nadal at age 22 has won as many grand slam single titles as Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker did in their entire careers. As far as the match went Federer had his chances to win the first and third sets but didn't. Part of that was Federer's fault through his mistakes and part of that was to Nadal's credit for his being the toughest and most cluctch player in tennis. P.S. - The men dominated the qualiity of yet another grand slam. Was there even a women's 2009 Australian Open? I guess so but hardly anyone noticed.

Now, that's a tennis match. Great drama and fantastic rallies and winners. Just about everyone I knew was talking about it and a lot of people I know tuned in to watch it. Ofcourse, none of these people knew Serena had won the women's title a day earlier.
Roger's bawling and sobbing at the end was GOLD. I cracked up in a "this really isn't happening" way.
Also, full marks to Rafa. I thought he'd be exhausted but he gutted out the win. Kudos. He's clearly in Roger's head right now.

Xristos 2 is really really sad. He doesn't get violent and throw things like I do, he just zipped up his jumper over his head. I explained how I used to throw remotes over Hingis and he just stared into space. I thought I was the only one who threw remotes over Hingis!

That was an awesome match. I guess it's easy to underestimate Rafa's godlike defensive ability when he isn't pushed like he was here. I wish they played in more hardcourt slams, and not just RG and Wimbledon in the past.

And there's complaints that women's tennis would be better if it was also best of 5. And the usual "This only happens when the WS win". Both are which are major lulz.

Yeah the WTA's much better because it's so unpredictable. Oh wait, it's not. We even wrote, tested and proved a playbook on choking over the past two weeks.
