Nadezhda really is the most useless tennis player ever, isn't she?
Maybe Hanturexia rivals her, but it's more fun to point and laugh at poor Daniela.

Hey, she seems to have bounced back pretty strong in set 2. Still we know she'll choke in the end; now she's just prolonging the torture. Even so, good for her for not giving up, the way it looked like she was doing from 2-all onward in set 1.

Petrova starting to freak out, as expected. This is why she didn't have a chance. Wow, Barrois was way up? Would have been nice to get Screecharenka out. SPEAKING OF SCREAMING! DE SCREAMO!!!

Maria is collapsing a little now. She would have a much easier time if she occasionally wrong-footed the fat one but she doesn't get it.

TFO missing left and right now, because she's close to winning. Duh.

If Maria can hold here, TFO will definitely lose her serve, maybe at love, for the match.
Oh M-Nav just said the same thing.

Oh my, double fault for Maria! From 4-0 to Ad TFO! Did not expect that.

I turned it off early in this set. No sense getting myself upset when the sun sets or Nadya chokes; they're facts of life!

Wow, really impressive service game from TFO. I was way wrong about that.
5-5. Let's see about this, then!

6-6.
They just discussed for about 5 minutes about how there is no TB in the final set. And so what graphic does TTC put up? Why, a tiebreak scoreboard, of course.

A bunch of people didn't...
I will give credit to TFO for not choking away four straight games, but, yes, Nadia was always going to be the one to fuck up first. Have you met her?

The sad thing is, in those last few games that I watched, Nadia did play some outstanding points and was so much better from the baseline - but only before any game went to 30-30.

Now I'll have 2 reasons to mute the tv when Sharapova plays, the 2nd one being the barrage of hyper-praising we're going to be subjected to regarding her unbelievable warrior qualities. Though I'll probably just turn her matches off altogether, like I did today. But they're wrong when they keep telling us that Maria always "looks the same" whether she's winning or losing. Sure, that's true when she's playing a choker like Nutrova, but didn't they ever look at her face when she lost to JH at RG? I really enjoyed looking at her gloomy face that day. Anyway, bad news for anti-fans of Big Babe tennis: both Sharapova and Venus are in very sharp form and are probably going to keep rolling along like Ole Man River.

UGH SAFIN
Why must commentators always say this is good TV? With the exception of last year's Wimbledon, the same thing always happens. Why has he been on Chatrier for both of his matches? I hate people.

Safin is really being dumb with Ouanna. If this goes deep, they're going to have to move Venus (she also has doubles to finish...but I doubt that will get played today).
Looks like their only option is Court 2, and I could really see her crashing out on a smaller court in the dark.
