Barrois *3-0 up on Azarenka, playing perfect tennis. When will the sucking and losing commence?

Tennis Channel showing early risers Barrois-Azarenka instead of Murray-Potito But, yeah, if Barrois is playing that great, I ought to watch. Though I see she's behind now. Sheesh, Azarenko and her sound effects! tb time

Now it's Vika who's playing great. Barrois falling to pieces, but I like the surprise S&V!

Barrois was 5-1 and had one set-point at 5-3.
She choked in the sense that she got too passive. Also, in theory she would be able to serve out a set with aces and service winners, but she rarely does that.
But, Azarenka is not some scrub and she played much better from then on.

Barrois was at 5-1? Wow, what a shame. But Vika's a tough cookie out there. Meanwhile, Potito won a set. But Fabrice is on his way out. Ha, Murray rolling on the dirt.

Happily, TC has switched us to Potito, with John McEnroe commentating.

Aww Fabrice. His last match here? Hopefully not. He shall not retire, ever.

I thought he was retiring last year! McEnroe just said it's his last RG -- we'll see.
Potito's playing really well.

Okay now that was a real choke at 3-4 15-40. Barrois had a huge chance to break but played a bad forehand and then a disgusting volley.
Can't waste these chances against a player of Azarenka's calibre.

I hope Potito won't choke like that.

Oh shit, Potito flubs the volley -- please don't blow this opportunity, with Andy off his game the way he is

Horrible -- Potito pulling a Barrois now, from 5-1 to 5-4 -- true, Andy has stepped it up and took advantage of the new balls in his service game, but it looks ominous to me now.

Wish I hadn't gotten up early. Watching a player you like a lot go from 5-1 to 5-7 against a player you don't like is just awful. And it all goes back to that flubbed volley! If I had woken up later and had simply seen the score of 75 in the 3rd for Andy, I wouldn't have known the horrible history of that set and would just be excited that Potito took the 2nd. Instead that 75 makes me sick to my stomach! Oh, well, let's face it. It's not exactly rare for men's tennis players to refer to the same playbook the WTA players swear by.

It's bad enough to see Potito crumble but it's worse that those idiot French schoolkids (good old Wednesday!) are strongly pro-Murray. What did he ever do for them? Match point, let's get it over with and put me out of my foolish fan-misery.

Just become a Murray-fan, it will make things easier for you in the future.

Meanwhile, Hercog continues to shine, winning first set over Rezai.
In other news, Simon, Cilic and Verdasco are rolling; "I'm Pretty" Lopez in a real battle w/ Tipsarevic; Arn-Old Clement loses first 2 sets to Tursunov then wins the next 2 to tease the crowd.

Just become a Murray-fan, it will make things easier for you in the future. Well, I don't "hate" him any more, and I always enjoy watching him play. And he did get his game together just as Potito started to falter, so he definitely "deserved" to win. But to actually become a fan is a little too much of a stretch for me, so far. Now if it had been Hewitt he had come back in that set to beat, then I'd have had to call myself a Fan. ;D

Wow, Szucking Szavay thrashed Vesnina Didn't expect that at all. One of yesterday's results which has only just filtered through to my consciousness - I thought Monfils was injured? Actually, I thought he'd withdrawn from RG, and must have somehow missed his name every time I scanned the draw. And yet there he is, in R2.

Actually, I thought he'd withdrawn from RG, and must have somehow missed his name every time I scanned the draw. And yet there he is, in R2. Yeah, he's looking good. He's playing with some sort of support device on his knee.

Sharapova up a break on Nutrova.

Zheng has lost the first set to de Screamo. This day just isn't going my way in Paris.
Nutrova's just awful today; playing extremely horribly, just handing the match to Maria. I wish I hadn't been so silly as to get my hopes up slightly that Nutrova might get her head together and have a chance at this match.

LOL, is she not bothering to go 6-1, 5-2 up before the choke this time? Ah well, I guess it saves us time and hassle.
