If I have to deal with two spindly Northerners instead of at least one muscular Spaniard on Tuesday, I may just go hiking. :lmao: I have to admit I never thought of this perspective. At least it's not Henman -- talk about a spindly Northerner!

Federer tying Pete with a RG win would be so perfect. For me. Because I don't want there to ever be any reasonable argument about who was the better of these two. So, of course that means that somebody else will win it. Murray Slam! Jk. I hope. I'll say it again: Can't Rafa just pass them both instead? Ideally, but just in case... I prefer Fed to be unquestionably ahead of Sampras.

Now Fed will be more tense than ever and will lose to some claycourt gorilla. Got to go look at the draw ...
Haha, Tennis Channel pretending nothing's happened ..

Davydenko beating Verdasco right now -- could he be one of the spindly guys in the final?

The only player in his quarter who should even remotely challenge him is Monfils, who will run around and play some fun points for a while before losing. If Fed doesn't breeze to the semifinals, he doesn't deserve to win anything ever again. Ever. Tsonga in the SF, please.

Davydenko beating Verdasco right now -- could he be one of the spindly guys in the final? I'm just talking about a wildly unsexy QF match. Fucking Verdasco, you know he saw that Nadal score and pissed his culottes.

Odd how there was talk of the Roger slam when he was good.
Now, he'll probably back into it like I suggested it would happen. Heh, tennis.

Surprisingly, MTF is struggling to load.
I was wondering if there was already a thread up inquiring as to whether or not Nadal was finished as a top player.

only player who would put up a fight in the final would be Murray and I don't expect him to make it. God Federer and his fans are such c*****.

I wonder how many times the word "asterisk" is being typed out at MTF. Ha, I was just thinking the same thing, not about MTF since I never go there, but just in general for all anti-Fedites.

By the way, wtaworld still has its uses -- just learned WozDen's back injury is a serious one. What a shame; just like Bepa, going down just when she's doing so well.

only player who would put up a fight in the final would be Murray and I don't expect him to make it. I agree with this, in theory. I just don't know how Fed's mental state is at the moment. This result might break his brain and he could just completely freak the hell out against...anyone. But, yeah, with both Djokovic and Nadal out, it's his for the taking, as long as he doesn't have a stroke.

I wonder how many times the word "asterisk" is being typed out at MTF. Rafatards are plentiful. I suspect this is at least part of why MTF wasn't loading a few minutes ago. Rafa's my fave and all, but geez... who knew that the men's tournament would be so much more awesome if he fell out of the draw? WHO IS GOING TO WIN OMGZ?!

She's already up a break. I don't mind missing it; I already saw Azarenka, what's the difference.
Unless LN would go berserk and beat her somehow -- that I'd want to see. But it's just not in the cards.

The good part about this, from a Rafatard-Samprashata perspective, is that this leaves open the chance for Federer to be more awesome than Sampras, without doing anything to hurt Rafa's ownership of Fed. Until Wimbledon, maybe, but that's so far away.

Indeedy. KING KOLYA has established wall status and Nando is rolling his eyes most points. Also, a bad matchup since THE KING doesn't mind high balls.

Kolya is sex. Haterz.
And this brings competition for the #1 spot as well during the summer, especially if Mopey can make the final here.

Lee Na and Shriek's 3-shots-tops rallies are...underwhelming, to say the least.
Lee Na, though. She must be one of the game's biggest underachievers, right? She's acknowledged as a threat to pretty much everyone on tour, with those bullet groundstrokes, and has beaten the very best, yet she's only won one MM title, made one Slam QF, never been top 15, and never scored any big win on a big stage (I guess FVW at the Olympics is closest).
