I don't think Pam meant it in a disrespectful way, it was more like "Wickmayer in the semi-final, wtf?!".

Yanina could hit her off the court. But, the odds of that are like 1% in a slam SF. Heh. I'd like her chances against Kim. But, Serena will win, and destroy all. NOC. I'll add a zero to your 1% and make it 10% chance Wickmayer hits Wozniacki off the court. I don't know enough about Yanina's game to know of she will step in and try to intimidate Wozniacki is seems happy the hit her groundies deep and wait for errors. It chould be a good looking semifinal if both play well. I'll substract 1% and make it 0%. The McGrath and Werdel of the world don't reach Slam finals.

McGrath was a top player on grass, and if she didn't get injured every week, she'd have been a top 15 player at least. Don't hate.

I don't think Pam meant it in a disrespectful way, it was more like "Wickmayer in the semi-final, wtf?!". I've been following Pam Shriver since the 1980's and I'm 99.9% sure she meant it in a disrespectful way.

Good effort by Soderling to take the third set from Federer and actually make Roger work in this match after he cruised in the first 2 sets.

Exactly! Soderling is serving to send the fourth set into a tiebreak and if Rockin' Robin wins that then he serves first in the fifth set. You cannot be serious!

Still. Obviously the SODASLAM is going to happen: Australia 2010! The Murray Slam will have to wait until 2015.

Soderling had set point in the fourth set and lost that point and set and the match. Atleast Federer didn't look invicible in the 3rd and 4th sets against Soderling. I hope Djokovic can bring out some bad tennis in Federer's game in the semi's. Novak has the ability to do that to Roger.

And Yanina is good. She is indeed - good timing off both sides, excellent 2nd serve, decent movement for her size. She's upgrading herself from C-list to B-list power hitter. She bossed K-Bond around from start to finish. The match wouldn't have been this tight if K-Bond hadn't served so well.

Djokovic beating Federer in the semis would be perfection. However, this will not occur.

Looking at Yanina's results, maybe this wasn't so unexpected. She's been mildly rampant since winning Surprise, with a bunch of close losses to top players. And she killed Deadisova's career, maybe that gives confidence! Although, the draw here unquestionably opened nicely for her.
