Canucks may take the throne back if they won tonight though. Good Luck! Thanks for the good luck. So we did win last night, beating up the Thorntonless Bruins. Well, there used to be one year we were the best road team but couldn't win much at home. Now we suck so badly on the road and rules at home. I wonder why that is. The TSN ppl the other day called us underachievers bcos of our road records. So yesterday's game, the sportnet ppl were polling on how the team should spend the next short break (we'll be off for 4 days before the next game). My suggestion is that they should go to Alberta to practice the game on the road, wonder if that will work . Anyway, the division leader is likely to change hand very often. We still haven't get the Alberta teams to come to our Garage to play, maybe the record will even up a little bit when they do ? Well, I'm not going to be overoptimistic about it. We had a very terrible time against the Avs on the road and at home, giving up 4 goals in the first period for 2 of the beatings they gave us and one is on home ice. So there's no place to hide when you play a good team.

What the hell happened the other day? The yotes exploded, with 8 goals. Coach Gretzky should be happy. The Yotes turned their season around. Good job, coach.

Yes and they again exploded with 5 goals after down 2. But what did the local sports reporter say? At the beginning of the report, the guy said if Phoenix want to be a team to be recognised and be in playoff, they need to win more than 2 games in a row. Hopefully, they will get the job done in Boston.

Slow days at the hockey front, eh?
Well, have to say the schedule is a little funny, I didn't see the Flames playing for like a week (well, feels like a week anyway). The Nucks played only 3 games in the past 12 days but they caught up with the Flames anyway, in terms of game played.

Gretzky is not coaching the Coyotes for now, somebody in his family is ill. This just happened today, I guess.
Oh, and Crosby was given the A.

The Pens lost 2 straight to the Sabres.
And, now, the Sabres are like winning every game. And Biron has won 13 straight.
The NHL is weird now.

I realize this is totally inappropriate timing for this post, but WTF! Dan Cloutier is hot. How did I never notice this before.

Okay, I didn't think this up, I copy it from our paper ;D: They both have a tough time when it comes to dealing with Alberta. Apparently, we have absolutely no clue how to beat them, since we've lost all 6 games against the Alberta teams. We just continue to suck playing against our own division. And since it's likely that 4 out of 5 teams in our division is to make the playoff, we are probably destine to exit at round 1 once again since the likehood of facing one of the 3 teams is almost like 1 in 2. Why can't we just be in the East or sth .

One of the directors even suggested that he'd captain that team, which was a touch silly when you consider the number of guys who will likely be coming back (Iginla, for example, who would be in his third olympics at that point. Lacavalier would be in his second. Etc.).

Every time I followed Flames game on radio, they blew away leads (and I started when they were leading). Now I have to stay away from SBs.
Same happens to Yotes. I was following yesterday and they were down 1-2. After I left, they scored 4 goals in less than 3 minutes.

Baby Regehr aka Richie Regehr scored his first goal playing the first time with big brother Robyn Regehr at NHL game. First time Flames has brothers playing in the same game.
btw, the Regehr family is pretty well travelled. Robyn was born in Recife, Brazil while Richie was born in Bundung, Indonesia 2 years and 9 months later.

I won't be posted on the other board. In fact, given how I was treated over the entire thing, I'm wondering why on earth I should even keep the URL private.
If you guys want to continue hockey talk with me you'll have to do it here.
I'll keep you posted on the idea of seeing a game together either way, Lee.

Let's talk about the amazing Kristian Huselius of the Flames!!
On New Year Eve vs Oilers, with 1:15 left in 3rd and tied at 5-5, he shot at the net after Iggy won the draw, the puck bounced off Oilers defencemen Bergeron than Pronger and bounced behind stunned goalie Markkanen. Thus, scored the winning goal.
And 2 days later vs Blackhawks, he threw the puck from behind the net and bounced into the net off goalie Anderson's back.

Tomorrow will be Mark Messier Night in MSG. Mark's #11 jersey will be retired. I have too many feelings that I don't know how to express. And I just ordered a DVD of Mark from NHL shop. btw, go here www.nhl.com/ and you can find clips from the DVD I ordered. His son is definitely a better looking guy than dad
