The red one is a lot better, I agree. But its not about the models. They are fantastic players but dont exactly make my type. lol

They aren't your type . Well, of course . But they are my type, both Paul and Teemu are quite cute, just a little baby face both of them.

Unclaimed: Cujo Still A Red Wing
DETROIT -- Curtis Joseph was bypassed in the NHL waiver draft Friday, leaving the Detroit Red Wings with two high-priced goaltenders.
After Dominik Hasek ended his one-year retirement in July, Detroit has tried to get rid of Joseph.
After trying to trade him, the Red Wings left him unprotected for the waiver draft. But as expected, no team was willing to pick up the remaining two years and $16 million on Joseph's contract.
The goalie had surgery in August to remove bone chips from his right ankle and skated for the first time Tuesday.
Detroit general manager Ken Holland will try to trade Joseph again, and the Red Wings may be willing to pay part of his remaining salary to unload him. But the Red Wings may start the season on Oct. 9 with Hasek, Joseph and Manny Legace, one of the league's top backups, on the roster.
Joseph said earlier this week it was not a blow to his ego to be on the waiver list, but added he would rather be dealt because his no-trade clause gives him some leverage. He also said he doesn't know when he will be healthy enough to play.
Joseph signed with Detroit before the 2002-03 season to improve his chances of winning his first Stanley Cup after playing 13 seasons with St. Louis, Edmonton and Toronto.
He had a 2.08 goals-against average in the first round of the playoffs as the Red Wings were eliminated by Anaheim. That followed an inconsistent regular season in which he won 15 of his last 19 regular-season games to finish 34-19-6.
Hasek is a six-time Vezina Trophy winner as the NHL's best goalie, a two-time Hart Trophy winner as the league's most valuable player and he led the Czech Republic to a gold medal in the 1998 Nagano Olympics.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Not like it's not expected. But I really hope this will get resolved because I would hate to see that Cujo's career got mess up by the Wings, as if his move to the Wings hadn't been bad enough so far.

The Wings Here's the deal: you pay 60% of the money, we get Cujo. Cmon, Joseph is worth 6-7 million for two years. IF he gets healthy. Becca must be sad.

Hey, I couldn't decide, maybe you guys can give me some thought about this.
I'm wondering if I should give up on Gaborik. We faced him 5 times last year and I saw him a lot and like him, he's quite an incredible talent. So I picked up in my team. But he's holding out for the contract and said he planned to play back home in Slovakia (or wherever he's from) if necessary. He missed the training camp and is going to miss season opener. And his agent said there's no sign of agreement in site. Should I get rid of him? But if he signs soon, he can still have a great season ahead. So being a manager of a hockey team ain't that easy, eh?

Hmm, you have two bench spots. I suppose thats what they are for. And the trade deadline is waaaay into the regular season, so I dont see why you should be worried. For example, I picked LeClair. I dont have a clue if he will be healthy for long, but if he does he is a wonderful piece for my team. If he injuries himself again, Ill fish someone else in the FAs or Waivers.

I should just sit on it and see how it goes. Hate to admit but I'm just really lazy to look up the rule and have no idea til when the trade can go on, so I'm just assuming that once the season begins, we're locked with what we have, and having a holdout player is like, well you know. I guess bcos I actually rank Gaborik pretty high to get him so I don't want to have nothing in return. Anyways. Oh, season opens thursday Canucks against Flames at the Garage (GM Place)

Aren't the Flames used to be like that? With that flaming C at the middle? The old one only has the flaming C in the middle. When they add the flame puffing horse head, the C was moved to the shoulders. Now, they switched places. The colour is slightly different too and the red on white one used to be home jersey but now's the other way round.

New season on the way today. So here's some news that I thought you guys might be interested. Flames has a new jersey, and now a new captain. Conroy gave up his captaincy and hand it to Jarome Iginla. So Iggy is now a captain, first black captain in NHL history. And Anaheim has a new slogan: "Better off with Fedorov". Cute. Sounds that they are still a little bitter with Kariya leaving town, but decided to quickly adopted a new favorite son instead. Sergei's been very busy doing his Hollywood duties, ie. showing up in different talk shows, most of those hosts he said he had no idea who they are. Maybe he's still watching Russian TV most of his time. I watched the Ducks game against Stars today, Ducks not up to speed, and Sergei hasn't get used to his supporting casts yet, hence a -3 performance today. Bad news for Diss, as LeClair will be out 2-4 weeks due to a broken foot. OUCH! Get well soon Johnny.

LeClair was hit by a puck during practice and broke his foot. 2-4 weeks? I guess thats a bit optimistic, but we'll see. Zubov carried my team to the lead in yesterday's round. I had 1 goal and 2 assists, Zubov was responsible for 1 and 1. Gomez gave me the other point. Hmm, and I had Potvin sitting on the bench Seems like he was good against the Devils. It looks like Fedorov didnt make a difference at all for the Ducks yesterday. They were massacred by the Stars. And the Avs wont play untill Friday. I cant wait! I hope they put the game on those laaaaate night replays. So, Vera, the Nucks play today? You actually live in Vancouver? Do you ever go watch them play? Good luck to them. Ill be supporting them in any match that they dont face a certain team.

Ya, 2-4 weeks is always the diagnosis for all injuries, but a bone fracture, it'll take longer to rehab even if he recovers on time. Zubov is awesome yesterday, so is Barnes, but Guerin looked great too. Emmm, should I say the whole Stars team looks good. Sergei is not that bad, will take some time to click with the team though, Ducks was bad, they played like the Ducks before last season, the ugly one instead of that swan. Well, I live in Greater Vancouver, the suburban, like half an hour away from downtown Vancouver when there's no traffic. I go to Canucks game once in awhile, bcos it's very expensive. This year, the Nucks sold out all the season tickets like 16000+ of them, which means is almost impossible to get single game. I buy my ticket from my sister who has season tickets but they only sell those games that they don't feel like watching (can't blame them. Last year, they put their Toronto ticket on ebay, but after receiving an offer of doubling the price, they decided to go watch it instead.) I watched the Ducks and the Blues last year. She got great seat, that's the reward of sticking with the Nucks when they were horrible back then like 3-4 years ago. Canucks plays Flames today at home.

The Nucks are winning. 4-1 Bondra scored twice today! And Spezza had 2 points with the Senators And it looks like Fedorov got his first point with the Ducks. Good. I guess you're right Vera, he needs to get into the team for good. Good to know you can go watch them from time to time. Id love to watch a hockey game if I ever could. Maybe if I can go to Montreal I can watch the Habs. Hmm, maybe thats not the best of the ideas either. No Vera, they dont show a specific team. We get some re-runs really late at night sometimes. I dont even know when though, its really rare.

It's a nice home opener tonite. It's a big phew from me, not that I don't have faith in my team or anything, but ppl are so excited and there's great enthusiasm in town this year that I think the Nucks ought to be feeling the pressure. But they look great ;D. Iggy is a non-factor today and don't even have a shot on goal, but understandably bcos our checking lines is all over him *proud*.
Diss, if you go to Montreal, definitely go to a hockey game, the Habs aren't very good but at least that means you can get ticket. But really, I love the atmosphere of hockey game (I know, I know, I'm crazy about hockey, of course I love the atmosphere), but I used to love NBA but I just hate those cheerleaders.
Well, hope you got to watch some great games this season. The Wings scored a last second goal (2 second left on the clock) to beat the Kings. StevieY got the winning goal. Ray Whitney got 2 As, cool, I picked him on my team bcos Canucks is supposed to get him but missed out and he got away (to Detroit). So I make it up by getting him on my team, it's working out fine.

Congrat Canucks winning their season opener! GRRRRRR Calgary! Good luck at your home game! Well, I hope Calgary does well at home (as long as they aren't facing us). They are expected to make the playoff this year bcos it will be the first full year of Sutter as the coach (provided that they didn't get rid of him during the season). And Iggy needs to do well for my team .

Interesting article from ESPN.com
Wednesday, October 8, 2003 By Al Morganti Special to ESPN.com The NHL season is ready to go. Every team has dreams of a best possible result and the memory of what Anaheim and Minnesota did last season will be an inspiration to those teams that don't seem to compare with the Colorados, Detroits, Ottawas and Devils of the league.
Discounting the nagging ominous details of a possible labor doomsday, watch for the following story lines to pop up during the season:
1. The Atlanta Thrashers will suffer through the entire season. No matter what the legal result, the emotional toll on the team and Dany Heatley will suffocate the season and perhaps the organization's future. But the Thrashers' season will be secondary to the larger issues of life and death, and how to resume any sort of normal life.
2. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks will ride on the talents of Sergei Fedorov and a follow-up season by goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere which makes it clear he is not a short-term sensation. Fedorov will wind up with a season worthy of MVP consideration and help fans get over the loss of Paul Kariya.
3. On the other hand, teams will be terrified to take a penalty against Kariya's new team, the Colorado Avalanche, and their power play. Studded with the likes of Kariya, Teemu Selanne, Peter Forsberg, Joe Sakic, et al, and it should crank up at around 30 per cent.
4. The first coach on the firing line will be Paul Maurice of the Carolina Hurricanes. Yes, it's a familiar story line, but this time it has teeth. Coincidentally, the other two coaches with the most heat will come from within the same division. The Washington Capitals will have little patience with Bruce Cassidy, and the same goes for the Tampa Bay Lightning who wouldn't mind if John Tortorella curbed his emotions.
5. The New Jersey Devils will have a nagging case of Stanley Cup-itis, but general manager Lou Lamoriello will make whatever changes needed to energize the locker room. The bottom line will be that coach Pat Burns's demands to play a system will work as long as Scott Stevens and Martin Brodeur are on the ice.
6. The goalie hunt will start very early with the Philadelphia Flyers, who are depending on Robert Esche and Jeff Hackett. The Flyers will be tempted by Sean Burke of the Phoenix Coyotes, and especially Curtis Joseph of the Detroit Red Wings. Don't be surprised when a deal is discussed sending John LeClair to the Wings in exchange for Joseph.
7. Goalies will also be the issue in Tampa Bay and Colorado. Don't figure on the Wings allowing Joseph to wind up in Colorado, but the Avalanche will cast greedy eyes on Nikolai Khabibulin all season, and strike before all others to get the guy they want.
8. The Buffalo Sabres will be revived with new ownership, and a season of distance between the mass exodus of money and talent. The Sabres will reap dividends from signing Miroslav Satan in plenty of time for the regular season, and also benefit from their goalie carousel. GM Darcy Regier will be able to make a nifty deal for either Martin Biron or Mikka Noronen. And, as more than an aside, gritty Chris Drury will be rated among the best additions of the season.
9. By the middle of the season, the Capitals will be frantic to find a taker for Jaromir Jagr. When in doubt, the usual suspect will be the New York Rangers.
10. The Minnesota Wild will discover that hard-ball negotiations with Marian Gaborik and Pascal Dupuis will serve to wreck a great follow up to last season's run to the conference finals.

And I'm dead last in the pool :red:, lol. My goalies sucks, none of them won a game yet, so as my top forwards, none of them had a goal, or a point. Oh well, 2 games down, 80 to go . I think I should drop Gaborik, he's not going to be signed. Bcos he's asking for outrageous money, 6.5 million for a year plus bonus (and he made 3.3 million bonus last year ). WTF, he wants more than what Nassy is getting pay right now . I'll say just let him stay home for the rest of the year. I'm not liking him a bit now.

Alex's hurt . The diagnosis is so vague, I'm not sure how long he'll stay out. I think I'm a jinx to my players. I dropped some guys and they opened their seasons strong like never before. Then my guys got hurt and holdouts. Oh well. Diss, Leclair might be back as soon as next week . So that's all he needs to recover from a fracture? Superrrrrrrmaaannnnnnnn.
