Oh wow, that game. Amazing Nole FH on the run brought up BP...then a Fed shanked FH gave him the break.

(By "oh wow" I don't mean it in a positive way. It was pretty chokey from both.)

They're going to have to call this soon, right?

I guess they were hoping that Nole would serve it out, instead of just peppering Fed's BH and not going for winners and paying the price

My commentator even sounded like he just said "SEWTA". He did not, of course.

I wish he had. Hope Roger can break here and close it out.

That was pretty blah. One more Fedal final, at least. Maybe Fed won't lose terribly.

Roger has a great shot at finally beating Rafa in a RG final now. What an odd thing to type in 2011.

Rafa looked good against Toad, but just so erratic today. Fed's entire approach and, for the most part, execution today was...probably the best I've ever seen him play at RG against an elite opponent. Basically if they both play like today, Fed wins, no question.

The problem is that Rafa can pound blah forehands to Roj's backhand all day and still win. Ah well, he will always have the semi!

Will Roger somehow be able to handle Rafa's crosscourt high jumping heavy topspin forehands?
I don't know if he will, but this is the first french open in which I have to say Roger is playing at a higher lever than Rafa
If Roger wins, he will be the GOAT with 0 doubts, Rafa is along with Borg one of the vbest 2 clay courters ever, and Fed would have 2 careers slams, with a second french open.

I have a strong feeling he'll end the streak tomorrow. I like what I've seen of Roger in Paris.

The problem is that Rafa can pound blah forehands to Roj's backhand all day and still win. Ah well, he will always have the semi! That's the usual pattern. However, I'm more with Lex here. I think Roger is in with a shot. Rafa has looked mediocre and Roger has looked sensational. I can't remember his backhand holding up as well as it did today on clay. If he can hit his backhand like he did today when he plays Nadal he can win that match too. But that's on Sunday and today is what we should talk about. What a match and what a victory. They both really maxed it out at the end of the fourth. I couldn't believe Rog broke back and I couldn't believe the audacity of some of his second serves. Then to win the final three points of the breaker on absolute pinpoint serves was incredible. He scaled Everest today and that's the story.

I'm happy that Rafa won. I was at the Awards ceremony, so was bugging Rebecca for some scores updates.
I had a small small feeling that Roger can cause an upset, simply because he's still GOAT, so when he serve and forehand is sound he can beat anyone. As for the final, after seeing their SF at some pre-tourny Roger absolutely looked better then Rafa there, Rafa won though. But he definitely can beat Rafa.
As Rafa fan I'm happy he's with a chance to win that final now, as his forehand woll be more effective against Roger.
