But first, the large crowd on Suzanne Lenglen is thrilled to see the old team of Forget and Leconte beat Gomes-McEnroe for the Really Old Men title. John McEnroe ill-advisedly removed his shirt at the end. Now they're actually giving speeches. Dav-Hingis next!

So here are Nov/Nav/Dav/Hing waiting to come out. I wonder if Nov is still PO'd about young Martina's Old & Slow remark?

I forgot to say earlier that Guy Forget still looks FABULOUS.

Mary Pierce gave the trophies, and she doesn't look gray-haired to me! Linds and MH won, of course. You know Hingis would NOT have accepted losing!

Tina/Linds won! I hope they upload some clips or something. Who presented what to these two geezers?

Woohoo, the great show!
I'll stick with Fed for my prediction.

I'm still going to go with the Rafa prediction even though Fed *should* win.

Fed not seeming bothered or being driven back even by the Rafa topspin FH to his BH

LOL Rafa injury time-out which turns out to require no treatment.

One guy in red & white, one guy in blue & white. Together they're a French flag! Don't like the blue wristbands, though. Just too much. Rog still looking relaxed.

uh-oh, 30-all. Don't blow this, Rog ...

tight! Why did I have to jinx Rog by calling him "relaxed"

Still, I'm glad Rafa's back to being Rafa

the Rafa get on BP was amazing but wtf Fed how do you fuck up that 30-30 point?!

Because Rafa's in his head and he's not going away!

Net approach to Rafa's FH leaving acres of space for the pass. WTF.

It's all about getting those first serves in ...

Vintage Rafa ... poor Rog. Oh, well, it was nice while it lasted, to 4-1.

No, Rog. That dropshot was never gonna work.

That dropshot point was super-retarded from Fed.
I'm SURE his serve on the next point was on the line though!

Straight sets.

I don't totally rule out a patchy third set to Fed that only delays the inevitable

I'm still going to go with the Rafa prediction even though Fed *should* win. Why *should* Fed win? Based on current form, Fed was playing quite well coming into the final and Rafa was well, nothing special. But I went with the Rafa prediction because of the match-up and the mental aspects of it.

Post by Traveling Man on Jun 5, 2011 9:21:21 GMT -5
Anything can happen, it's just the first set. Ofcourse, Fed has to be disheartened that he came out firing on all cylinders and playing so well and now he's down a set. Rafa needs to get on top and makes this two sets to love.

I don't totally rule out a patchy third set to Fed that only delays the inevitable Ha, yeah, maybe. On a brighter note, Tunisia takes the Girls title! So US and Tunisia taking the junior crowns = almost equally unlikely.
