Is there any way MJMS could pose a threat to Venus? I saw her versus Jankovic and she can't return to save her life.

Robson's held for 3-5 and is now up 15-30. Interesting.

Match point Sharapova. And she actually won that game/match with playing really well, not Robson losing it.

Whew, it's over, no more Shriekapova in the background of my Kvitty-Vinci.

Aw, Robson looked like she might make the comeback for a minute there. LOL @ Bepa

Tuned in to see Pervak saving a set point on her serve. Tie-break!

Clerc (former top ten player from 1979 to 1983) who works as commentators for ESPN latin america and was for a while coach of Porny Harkleroad says that Laura has game, very good strokes, but that she doesn't know how to read plays (she doesn't know to which direction her opponent will most likely hit the ball) and that she stops running when she sees that an opponent shot will bounce 2 meters away, when she should try to make a get always in those cases.

Yep. That's what I thought on several points, that she doesn't read the game well. Several winners were so close to her, but she barely moved. I just didn't want to make a definite conclusion on this after just 1 match.

I'd choose Roddick over Lopez anytime. I don't know what has gotten into Judy's mind...

Pervak is 3-1 up and playing better then Petko, she has more purpose to her strokes.

6-2 to Pervak in the tie-break. And she wins. Deserved winner from that I've seen. Now I can try Kvitty match.

I always got the impression that Pervak was a weaponless pusher - this should be another reminder not to trust TennisForum and Corswandt on who is and isn't a pusher.
Every time I looked up to the Bepa match she was flubbing a putaway. In a way, I hope she loses this. A Pironkova repeat run would be hilarious.
STD just finished off Dima, both remain sexy.

I guess we should have predicted something like this would happen to Petkorazzi after she went three sets with Dubois. Dislike of grass or entering a slump? Pervak had never won a Slam match before this tournament, IIRC.

I wish atp still had indoor carpet so that all the players who do good on grass could have another fast low bouncing surface to have success on
