Even with her solid form, Paszek is going down to Azza in the QF for the second year running. Azza is a really good Paszek.

Yes, I think the expected Kerber/Radwanska match should be VERY INTERESTING. No, really. Srsly. Who would've thought that US Open match last year portended anything of significance.

I still can't believe BAG won a slam and was #1. You never know.

So the only match existing right now will be Nole and Troicka. Great

I'm assuming Nole beating up on Troicka yet again will be straightfoward. So the question is, given that the forecast says play on other courts is unlikely...do they try to cram as many matches on to Centre as they can before the curfew?
With the matches-must-be-finished-on-the-same-court-they-started thing, that could be Pony/Ferrer and/or Baker/Kohlschreiber...but NOT Murray, who weirdly may end up being the player most screwed by the schedule.

He will be indeed You gotta finish off that top half, right? That's the most fair thing to do, in spite of the court rule. I think move Gassy-Flo.

Yeah, that makes sense (though since when has sense had anything to do with Wim scheduling). Pony/Ferrer has been cancelled, it seems...so surely if they put anything on after Nole/Troicki it'll be Flo/Wuss.
I fully expect them to pack up and go home after Djokovic, obviously.

LOL. My housemate, who doesn't know much about tennis including the identities of either player on TV, walked in, looked at the screen for half a minute, pointed at Troicki and sniffed "Beta male!", and walked out again

Line of the day on @bbc5live 'So Goran, what do you want to say to Cilic to get him to play better?' Goran: 'Nothing. I want to smack him'.

No more play on Centre Yes, Wimbledon is the Worst Slam right now. I'm sure the USO will compete valiantly in this category though.

Even with her solid form, Paszek is going down to Azza in the QF for the second year running. Azza is a really good Paszek. Tits made the QF here last year? Wow, I thought she did well here in like 2005 as a tiny kid. Maybe that too. Also, what's with the Azza comparison? GOATmira hits huge winners and is pretty slow. Azza is a power grinder...?

Oh, Paszek won! That was surprisingly easy. Who would have thought, two weeks ago, that she'd defend her Wim QF points? With her sterling recent form, her record on the season is now ... 11-13.

I don't know what to think of Kvitova-Serena. Neither is playing amazingly. They have both just managed to survive today.
I know our mutual histories with Serena bias us to thinking she will turn it on when it matters. Uhhh ... in the past, yes, she would have. Now, over 30, I'm not so certain. Her confidence has been rattled lately. I think it's 50-50 in this one.
And if Serena is to win, Azarenka is starting to look tough. That won't be as easy as it was on clay in Madrid.

Serena is serving amazingly. And that meant she never came close to losing either against Zheng or today, and that will be enough against Petra, whose BP conversion ratio of late has been appalling (if Serena even allows her those chances) and who, even if she doesn't come out in full-on Shitra mode, will probably hand over a couple of service games with UEs. GSM Silliams.
Azarenka did look excellent today but BAG is no real measuring stick tbh.

The French Open tends to obscure that a bit. Azarenka can beat her and so can Kvitova. The best thing that could happen is Radwanska winning this. I'd love it merely for the fact that Chris Evert assured us she could never do it. Plus, it would be a great way of rebounding from everything hitting the shoals in Paris. Anyway, Serena got broken twice by Shvedova. Petra can break her.
