In retrospect - yeah yeah all too easy to say in retrospect - the signs were there. All through the clay season we saw that Nole was nowhere near his 2011 level. And despite the choking and the losses we also saw that game-wise Fed could definitely compete with Peak Nole. And then factor in indoor grass and...yeah, today happened. I just don't agree here. Roger did not win one set in either of their two clay matches and ... really was only in command of one, maybe ... MAYBE, two of them. To me, Novak looked like the far more dominant player in those matches. This is a different surface, yes. Advantage Fed, for sure. But with Novak the winner of six of their past seven, I think this loss was a major surprise. Going in, I was giving Fed about a 20% shot. I agree with you. Before the match I was giving Roger NO chance. Even though I knew that game-wise Roger could compete, I gave him no chance of actually winning, not after so many mental collapses. And Novak being Novak.

Lindsay is such an asshole. 2004 AND 2005. Never forgiven. That's right. She will never, ever, ever, ever, ever be forgiven for those years. Original sin. I still haven't forgiven her for Wimbledon '99 tbh.

And I really started doubting when I saw they'd never played on grass (let alone INDOOR grass).

I was ecstatic when she won that title, but now I'd rather Steffi had won it. It's weird, I was such a Lindsay fangirl, but when I went off her, I went off completely. And for no apparent reason.

I will feel really sorry for Murray if he loses today, British media in their arrogance don't even consider Tsonga a threat. But I'll be happy for Tsonga all the same.

I really liked Fed's chances at today's INDOOR SLAM. Plus as someone mentioned, Novak is nowhere near his level last year. He'd lost...once coming in Wimbledon (to FED). This year he's had, what, 6 losses? It should also be noted that Novak's draw was a total catwalk and he'd even lost a set to Sexxpanek. WHY is Judie Murray dressed in a doll's nightie. She's ready to get Tweeting:

#humble RT @carolinecheese Federer: "When I lost to Berdych (in 2010), everyone was like 'How can we survive a Wimbledon final without you?'
LMAO @pseudofed will love it.

It's weird, I was such a Lindsay fangirl, but when I went off her, I went off completely. And for no apparent reason. I was a huge Steffi fan (and at the time I even hated Hingis because of this - now of course I see how wrong that was) and going out on a RG-Wim double would have been PERFECT. I really never liked Lindsay at any point. I do miss having a top ATP player that I love to hate, à la Hewitt and Roddick. Even my newfound dislike of Rafa doesn't work to that extent. Soderling fulfilled it for a while but he was never a Real Top Player and then he went away.

RT @haygab55 OMG Liezel Huber is using a mouthguard vs the Williams' sisters. Unbelievable.
^^She's probably learned never to take it off. On court, in the locker room, at home, wherever. Too many players out to get her now.

Was it because she developed the worst attitude of any player on Tour? Probably. But there wasn't any specific event that triggered it, it sorta just happened. When she tanked that AO final against Serena I realized that it didn't actually bother me all that much, while 3-4 years before I would have gone nuts. And then the Wimbledon final happened and I barely cared.

I kinda wanna set up another Betfair account and put a Promo bet on for Jo. I could win £100.
Meh.

I think I'm the only one who hated Steffi, but grew to respect her. Oh no. Growing up in Yugoslavia, Steffi was the Devil. Back then I wished she had been stabbed instead of Monica. Then I grew up a bit ;D, but I also became a fan of ASV and Steffi kept blocking her way every single time and it was extremely frustrating. But by 1999 I did come to appreciate her a lot. I was 100% behind her in the RG final.

I would say that Tsonga needs this set to have a chance. No way he rallies from two sets down.
Hey, if you kiss the Wimbledon men's trophy, are you kissing all the prior winners too?

Tsonga has rallied from two sets down against a better player, but I can't see him doing it today because he is a mess and Murray's level is so high.
