Simon Reed is commentating rowing. Tennis and rowing - that's an odd combo. Men in judo are the hottest species of the Olympics. The bathrobe spoils all the fun, though. For real. Ashley McKenzie would get it five times.

Oh yes, Edna K reminded me, I will be STANNING HARD FOR US MEN'S VOLLEYBALL WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Your gurls are really good too, they are the biggest favourites for the gold, actually. That team has such ridiculous depth! So many amazingly talented and athletics players. I will probably cheer for them now that the entire Serbian team has lot their limbs and are going to lose each game 3-0. I don't care about tennis at the Olympics this time around, though. I guess it's because it will be like watching Wimbledon all over again, and it's just ended, so zzzz. OMG our teams are playing each other right now in Match #1!!!!1111 ETA: or possibly earlier today which NBC is showing right now.

Totally into the archery. The KOR ladies are boss bitches with their natty upturned brims and cartoon breastplates. Won their SF with a shot to spare and the spare was a 10 anyway.

I can never find the archery and everyone is saying how great it is.

JPN totally gave up on their SF by the end. One of them shot a 6 and was just laughing like whatever. Bronze play-off awaits.
In another QF, RUS needed two 10s to tie the final target TPE set - and got them, and then won the play-off. I'm so unused to displays of Russian mental strength!

Incidentally, are there any physical reasons why male and female archers can't compete against each other? Table tennis too?

But I'm watching gymnastics.

Incidentally, are there any physical reasons why male and female archers can't compete against each other? Table tennis too? Well, if you watch mixed doubles in table tennis you'll see why they don't compete against each other. I think men and women competed together in shooting (some events, at least), but it turned out that women couldn't really win medals.

Incidentally, are there any physical reasons why male and female archers can't compete against each other? Table tennis too? I mean...general physical differences? And even if that's a non-factor in some of those sports, won't that open a Pandora's box in general; i.e. "Well if they play each other in archery, why not tennis? Or track?" And that would be bad. No, it's live! Serbia is also playing in handball now. But I'm watching gymnastics. I was going to say, limbless or not, I'm liking your team and then wonder why you weren't watching them. But I'm sure the handball is "excellent" as well. Unless it's ladies and then, yes, you crazy.

Oh you are watching ladies! But it's gymnastics so you get a pass.
NBC is holding the gymnastics until tonight, but it's only Team Night 1 so I don't care about the spoilers.

Apparently the FEMALE Chinese swimmer who won gold with a world record at 400m medley swam the last 50 meters faster than Ryan Lochte in the mens race.

It's our women who lost their limbs! The men are alright physically, yes ;D, and they are really cool guys and I like them a lot, but they're just not that good anymore after our best player by far (and one of the most dominant opposite hitters in the history of the game generally) decided he's too for the national team. But if you want to , water polo is where it's at!

Also, Lochte was sooooooo far ahead in his race that he shut it way down, especially in the last 25.
Look. I like countries and pretty people. I'm going to try not to put too much thought into Troubling Things.

JPN come from behind to beat RUS in the archery bronze play-off...that was a tense finish. Aw they look so happy. Sad for the Russians though, they were a very endearing team but they couldn't pull a miracle out of their ass a second time.

I was in Westfield East, the massive shopping centre next to the Olympic Park, earlier. SO MANY off-duty athletes wandering around. SO MANY chiselled faces and bodies. SO MANY "accidental" brushes and collisions on my part.
I saw a Greek guy buying a summer dress. Olympic Village wooing tactic?

I was in Westfield East, the massive shopping centre next to the Olympic Park, earlier. SO MANY off-duty athletes wandering around. SO MANY chiselled faces and bodies. SO MANY "accidental" brushes and collisions on my part. ? Maybe this is how Mr. Right and you are destined to meet. You find yourself at M&S reaching for the same bottle of Veuve Clicquot as a strapping Swedish decathlete. You make a witty remark about how you'd gladly share it with him. He says he'd love to see London from a local's perspective, especially now that he has so much time because he's had to pull out of his event due to a broken toe, the Veuve was meant for a team-mate who medalled and and the whole thing is so bittersweet for him. You show him around, he shows you all of his 10 skills. Your marriage announcement in the paper reads: erudite writer weds ex-athlete film director. #jealous #fiftyshadesofgay

And then you remember the orgies they're all going back to with each other.
I'm watching the swimming, the feelings are much the same.
That book will be available in the autobiography not fiction section btw.
