Wow, Azza's withdrawal totally wrecks this draw. It is completely unbalanced now.
Good chance for the seeds in the top half though. They could all use some points.

Heh, Petra won the first 10 points in a row, actually won them. 1st error on the 12th point. 3*-0 Petra, it's a very quick match so far.

That was a very nice tight game, Petra held for 5-1 after saving like 4-5 break points.

Oh, Petra is serving for the set at 5-2 and it's 0-40 Ana broke back. I guess it's fair, because at 0-40 it looked like Petra's 2nd serve was out. But no Hawkeye on this court, I guess Ana 3*-5

Ok, Ana just saved a double set point on her serve, this is getting close. This match is nice, I think. Another questionable call, but great return, another set point. Excellently saved by Ana.

Finally. FH winner on the baseline that was still way riskier than it needed to be. 7-5.

There is some ridiculously good, fun tennis in this match. Some errors as well obviously, but I think both of them are actually playing well.
2-2 on serve

LOLOLOLOLOL Serena. Does the Real Rivalry with Azza extend to withdrawals too.

No, Azza has a long, long way to go to approach Serena territory in withdrawals. She needs to work on her frequency and her timing to even begin to compete with the Queen! I'd say she's drawn even in the "excuses" category, though.

I think Azza leads in mid-tournament withdrawals - pulling out while leading in an early-round match is her speciality - while Serena's forte is rather withdrawing before the tournament starts (and, historically, then repeating the trick for half a year at a time). This move was clearly Azza encroaching on Serena territory, so she obviously had to defend her patch.

I hate women's tennis. Serena and Azza at the top. Great.
Woz limited Zheng to one game. Now she plays Marion instead of Serena and somehow I think she's happier this way.
Kvitova-A. Rad. I would like to see Petra win but I think she will get GROUND DOWN.
The top half finalist will be one of Errani, Stosur, Vinci and Petrova.
