Serbian sisters beating Kuznetsova and Petrova. This feels so 2007.

It's just...weird. Especially considering she only has a small handful of high-point results at the moment and yet that's enough to get her to #21-22. But that's SEWTA right now. It explained Lepchenko, and CSN, the Zak, even former top players like Venus and Jaja are in the same boat. It's a free-for-all below...#15 even.

LOL @ the Domichoke, second year in a row here for her. It was only ever one break though, that's barely a lead vs Serena. QF and a decent scoreline vs Serena is a good result for Na after so much time out. Agree that Flipper is a talented player, I was always surprised before she got injured that it wasn't reflected in her ranking. Journeywomen who prefer fast courts just don't get the chances that their clay counterparts do. Sloane got bagelled by A-Rad and walked out of her presser? Shocked at JaJa's progress, amused by BAG's scoreline vs. Sarita.

Holy shit @ that A-Rad shot www.nytimes.com/2013/03/26/sports/tennis/stung-by-loss-at-sony-open-sloane-stephens-insists-she-still-wants-to-win.html?_r=0“There’s no specific thing that I’d say has happened or is not happening, but I don’t think it really matters,” Stephens said of her recent struggles. “I’m 16 in the world. I can lose in the first round the next two months and I probably would still be top 30. I’m not really too concerned about winning or losing or any of that, I don’t think. My life has changed, yeah, but I wouldn’t say I’m in a panic or anything.”
There was a stunned silence in the interview room, and when Stephens was asked to clarify that she indeed did want to win, Stephens rolled her eyes and shot back, “Obviously,” and then walked out.

Vinci's has now blown a 2-0 lead in each of the three sets. Her coach is molto bello.

JJ wins 5 games in a row. Roby has some shoulder problem which means she's slicing every backhand, often out of bounds. They have like 50 UEs each. JJ's serve is totally predictable.
Oh of course now JaJa starts tightening up.
