Thank G-d! She needs these Tier 1 pints! ooh, I forgot about Tier 1 pts! And she also wanted to get lots of tennis under her belt; she's getting that, for sure! But scoot, can you explain this "G-d"? I've seen that around, and I don't understand the purpose of leaving out the "o"?

"Six sets today -- that was tough," Henin-Hardenne said. "But I was physically able to do that, so that was good. Now I just want a good dinner and to relax."

I think scootad may turn out to be right -- wouldn't Justine have been better off playing in Rome, because now she's got to play 2 matches tomorrow (only if she wins the first one, that is!). Justine has said quite a few times that she prefers two full weeks off before Grand Slams. So, even though it may sound silly to us, it's what she prefers to do. It worked in 2003 ;D

It sounds far from silly to me! Live Score has Justine trying to stay in the match right now @ 46 45. Fatigue ...

Yes, 46 64 ... so I could not have seen 46 45, then! Unless Kveta got a game penalty. Maybe she spit at Justine!

Ooh, if Kveta wins, I win VCASH! Kveta is a fine player and Justine had to play two three-setters yesterday. No big deal if she goes down IMO. TANK TANK TANK

Yay, Justine won 62 in the 3rd, Hurley's mean vCash be damned! ;D Damn! Now I won't be able to pay my vBills!! Another great win! She must be brimming with confidence. Now a chance for revenge against Sharapova. I'm not particularly confident, but it will be interesting to see a rematch on clay. And a win over Sharapova will guarantee her a Top 12 seed at the French (unless Bovina wins Berlin ), and it would be swell for her to draw a 5-8 seed in the Paris R16 than a 1-4 seed.

From an article today: She was pushed to three sets for the third straight match.
"It's not a problem unless you go home early," Henin-Hardenne said. "I need the practice and I get stronger in the second and third sets."

Justine should be able to take Maria especially with the rain-soaked Berlin clay courts. Perfect conditions for her.

6:2 gegen Maria Scharapowa." ;D

I am so proud of her!!! I could not have dreamt of a better comeback for Justine in her first tourneys back in almost a year. She's already dialed in mentally & has lost none of her killer instinct. In fact, she may even be tougher mentally now.
I do hope that tomorrow it warms up a little and the clay dries out. Even though she has a good record vs. Patty, playing Batty on a slow, wet clay court is a nightmare for anyone.

Surprise, surprise ;D Looks like the Justine-bashing will start anew...she didn't get much of a honeymoon since she's started winning nearly immediately. I say BRING IT ON

fr. & what's a "break blanc"?

what's "le jusqu'auboutisme"? & what's a "break blanc"? jusqu'auboutisme, that's hilarious. Never saw that before. It means that she takes it to the limit, as the Eagles would say. Break blanc is a break at love No clue about the chapitre!
