I will never forget the day it was announced in GM that Elena Bovina (RUS) had checked into a rehab clinic for a heroin addiction. Pure gold.

EB has signed up to play two hard court 25Ks in the next couple weeks, both in Spain.

Ugh, retire.
Or, try to enter WTA tournaments for the next 10 years like Brie.

So, Elena won some lame Frenchie exho where she was probably just someone to fill the draw.
Then, she withdraws from real tournaments.
GO AWAY. FOREVER.

Lena starts in Granada against Peruvian player Bianca Botto.

Elena BOVINA (RUS) defeated Bianca BOTTO (PER) 6-3 6-4
Next up, the formidable 2nd seed, the one and only Betina Jozami. I'm worried about this match because if Elena loses to Betina I'm afraid Leena will hunt her down and do her harm.

Ugh, Jozami on hardcourts. Yeah, I'm expecting the worst. Two tall girls with mediocre serves! Yay!

No need for assault & battery! Elena Bovina RUS d. (2)Betina Jozami ARG 61 60 Next she plays German qualifier Scarlett "I'll think about that tomorrow" Werner. I think maybe I can start enjoying EB as one of my many bumpkinette faves and just forget she was ever anything else.

Elbo somehow snagged a MD WC for this week's 50K in Saint-Rafa, France. Here's her quarter of the draw. Would love to see a rare Elbo-Elba QF, but chances are slim they'll both last that long.

I guess 5 matches in a row is too many for the Fine China Giant right now, even when she won the first 4 in straight sets. At least no ret.

Yes, I'm afraid Elbo's clock has cuckooed its last. Pous-Tio, ranked 555, has one foot in the grave herself, so getting bagelled by her is like getting struck by a bolt of lightning directly from God's hand. Time to look for a job as a club coach or tennis racquet sales rep. Or maybe she could hawk fine china on eBay.
