Yeah, poor Nole will probably get similar requests in Paris and London as well. Maybe once he's done the Maria at every Slam, they can give him a rest.

Kirilenko beat Tu in a tough 3 setter in what has to be one of the few matches Maria will play this year where she has the size and power advantage over her opponent.
I think Djokovic will struggle some this year and fail to live up to his lofty expectations in the same way Jankovic will fail to live up to hers. Neither has the weapons to overwhelm their opponents and both have to work so hard to win their matches which I think will make staying at the top of tennis hard for them to do.

Monaco sucked, but a win is a win.

Six straight games for Szavay, 6-3 Will Alun [sic] Jones win a match? He is trying to immediately put the kibosh on THE MONTANES SLAM.

I think that, unlikee Jankovic, Djokovic does have the weapons to stay at the top, but he also needs to learn how to win early round Slam matches easily. And I do think they're both burnt out. If Nalby or Ferrer are playing well, they could definitely beat Novak in the QF. I don't think Hewitt would do it.

I got 360 to work again and I have to report that Smeets blew a few overhead/put aways in one point against Nalby in a very funny point. Go Fatty Dave.
Kuznetz is stinking so far. Dechy has a good record against Sveta and her flat strokes are working early - I think their H2H may be an intangible really making a difference.

Novak definitely has the physical ability to remain there. Mentally, eh... I think he has quite an ego. His quick jump up the rankings may hurt him in the long run... especially since he's unlikely to ever go any higher than he is now. He still has focus issues most matches, and sometimes he gets in this "hit the FH hard as possible" funk that's worrysome.

Good morning!
Happy for Meusurburger. Bad luck Petkovic. I hope it's not too bad. She always cries btw so that's irrelevant. B. Becker is depressing. WTF happened in the past 12 months? He's miserable on court. Typical German brain problems. Should go back to college. Djokovic always impresses with his deep returns, probably his biggest strength. But yeah, this could have gone to 4, and it would have been totally unnecessary. Enjoyed Misa's suckings. By Wimbledon she will be gone. Leena, weren't you MiaMisa634529340025 on WTAWorld once?

One way Djokovic can remain fresher for the second week of grand slams is to routine lesser players in the first week instead of struggling to beat them and wasting alot of valuable energy.

Yes, I was. The Misa fans at WTAHell are funny. Guccione is losing. Thank the heavens. I was really worried he'd go far in the sucky Gonzo section.

What a surprising and great win for Kleybanova over Peng in 3 sets 9-7 in the third. Well done to Alisa on the best win of her young career.

Lisicki 4-1 Safina.
Boy, I hope Lisicki wins this. She's talented but often plays one good set only. I'm not a huge fan but I dislike Safina. And I'm still convinced that her horrible skin came from performance-enhancing drugs.

I love Steve Darcis! He's so cute, and has lots of game. He could definitely challenge Hewitt, who loves to have epic early round encounters in Melbourne.

And I'm still convinced that her horrible skin came from performance-enhancing drugs. I find that strange, but I do dislike Safina's ugly ugly game. Good riddance if she's gone. Has Petrova or Ljubicic lost yet in this tournament? If not, hopefully soon as well.

Safina: hated by all? She and Petrova can please go away. Go Sabine.
Agnes must break to stave off a very disappointing loss...

I think Tojo got away with that point. I think he hit the net before the ball bounced twice.
But keep fighting, Tojo. Baghman is cramping and not fit. Take it to 5!

Szavay does break to get back on serve! But can she hold? The questions, the questions.
Snotso wins.
If Salerni can't take advantage of drawing Koryttseva in the 1R of a major, she'll never amount to anything. I mean...she's never going to amount to much, but she will literally evaporate if she blows this chance.

Go Lisicki. Also Gremelmayr. I discovered him in Hamburg qualies ages ago when he beat Massu in a spectacular match.

Boo to Agnes, who blew a GP and loses 3-6 6-4 7-5. Australian season yielded 0 wins and 2 losses. Terrible stuff and she needs a drastic regroup if she wants to raise that ranking.
